Question regarding MAC training...

I know MAC trains their employees pretty well. However, if you freelance do you get trained as well?

And also, when it comes to the pro card, do you automatically get one if you work for MAC? Even if you freelance?

Each region has slightly different policies on training freelance/on-call employees. Some go to a One Day Orientation. There are also Event Artist Trainings, for FL/OC artists who are schdeuled for certain events.

I suggest you ask your contact for FL/OC about any trainings.

You won't automatically recieve a MAC Pro Membership card when you become a FL/OC artist. As an Estee Lauder employee, you are eligiable for a 30% discount at freestanding MAC Stores with an Estee Lauder paystub dated within 30 days. (regulations apply) If you were to become a permanent employee with MAC you would then recieve a MAC Staff Card.

To add to the above poster's response - you don't actually qualify for a Pro card just for working for MAC in any capacity (FL or Perm). You actually need to have done outside work in order to fi the criteria.

You really don't need a pro card while you are an employee cause the staff cards gets you a higher discount but if you are referring to after you leave then you would still need to apply. HTH.
