Quick heads up-Fake refills

I just wanted to give everybody some infomation that I have been given, just so that everybody is aware. Fake re-fills are starting to circulate, and this is the set of colours to be wary of:

sky blue
electra
quarry
juxt
star violet
swiss chocolate
sketch
yogurt

Why should you be wary of these colours?, the packaging is almost spot on apart from the space on the back of the packet between the book and the arrow. On authentic refills there is a space on the fakes, there is no space between the book and the arrow, and you will notice that the colours are off. Now, I have not personally inspected these myself, but I have the information from very, very good authority from somebody who was about to purchase, but insisted on samples first. I dont want to get shot down in flames on here for the giving the information, I just wanted to make you all aware that these are coming and will be hitting ebay at some point.

Another reason why I will NOT buy MAC off Ebay...sorry for the good sellers ...But the bad ones are making it hard to trust Ebay period

They already do... I've had a number of counterfeits in pots with flat pans already - one was Newly Minted, another was Copperplate and they were definitely counterfeit!

I haven't inspected these myself, just make sure you keep the sleeve from a real one to compare if you are buying them from ebay. There is also fake studio fix powder foundations out there too, the colours are spot on, so is the packaging and the compact, the only flaw is the rough edged mirror so look out for those. Latest list of eye shadows and blushers that will be doing the rounds on ebay, inspected and confirmed as fake (not by me)

I agree with Tish, I'd rather buy it from MAC, or some trusted seller on here, I don't even do MUA anymore, some chick gave me afake MAC shadow, then closed her account, smh

I hope it's okay to post to this old thread. Were there pro pan fakes before fall 2009? I bought some pro pan refills on ebay on april 2009. The ones were Electra, Purple Haze, Omega, Cork and Wedge. I didn't know at the time pro pans were faked (atleast the "good" fakes, the obvious fakes I did know). So, is it possible that those are fakes, or did the fakes come along only last fall, not before?

If I compare the magnets to the ones I've bought from Mac, is the difference so minor that I may not notice it? I don't have the sleeves anymore so should I just throw them all away to be sure?

Another question about pro pan eyeshadow refills - I got one that says made in Italy both on the sleeve and on the pan sticker, I haven't noticed before Italy being the made in country, so I just wanted to be sure they are made there too, not just Canada and USA? Thanks!

I still would appreciate if anyone could tell me if there were pro pan fakes around ebay already in spring 2009?
