Quick question: glitter on top of nail polish.

I'm mid-manicure (LOL), but I decided to use two coats of polish and to press cosmetic glitter on top of the second coat. Can I cover this with clear polish/a top coat to prevent the glitter from shedding, or will that ruin the effect?

Put a top coat on it, it will help bring out the glitter and all of its shinyness!

Well, the nails were a success...then one of my vials of glitter hit the tile floor and EXPLODED. Now it's stuck in the grout, and I can't sweep cause it's 3am. Cripes. I thought they were hard plastic...dammit.

LOL, it's okay, I already knew I wasn't getting my security deposit back--my coffee machine tried to kill me over the summer.

I managed to get a good bit of it up with wet paper towels, lotion, and a sponge; I'll try to do some sweeping tomorrow.
