It's our work Christmas party next week and I'm planning on wearing a red dress:

I kind of want to wear Queen's Sin (or maybe another red lipstick) with it, but I don't know... I know that matching your clothes and makeup too closely is a bit tacky, and with red especially I think it might be too much.
What do you think? Rock the red lipstick (it is Christmas, after all!) or tone the makeup down a bit and let the dress shine? What other type of makeup looks do you think would work well?
EDIT: You can kind of see my colouring from my profile pic - I am fair skinned with red hair.
