returning items from mac online??

So i bought some things from the MAC website, but some of the colors weren't what i thought would be.....i tested them once, but can i still send it back to them and get a full refund even though i tested it out?? Thanks in advance!

Maybe you should try selling it to someone on here. They may want it.

But if you want to post it in the Clearance Bin you have to have 20+ posts.

Im pretty sure you could return them or exchange them at a local store (given there is one near you) if you have the receipt. Macs pretty good about returns.

My stores have said you have to return online items through the online system; they can't take them for exchanges/returns at the stores. However, I return stuff all the time through the mail and it's just fine.

i had the same problem... you can return the items (even if used) before 30 days but it has to be done thru the mail since you bought it online... but i have heard that some people have returned it to the stores (the stores here in CA do not take online orders back) so you can try the stores first... but if they don't take it, sending it back by mail is safe i've done it before and had no problems! HTH

I order some barrettes MAC had online one time for a special promotion (they were absolute crap). I was told that I had to return them online because it is a separate store/stock. I think that rule sucks; I liked that sephora stores would take online items as a return even if they don't carry that particular item.

Yes, you can return them. I have returned several tested items for full credit. They are fast to issue credit too. As long as you have the packing list to send back with your return.

You can return them as long as they don't look half used up. I bought some items only, tested them a few times and returned them to a Nordstrom counter without a problem although I didn't ask for my money back, I just got other items. hth
