Semi-straight without heat? Whaaaaaat?

So I have this lumberjack hat that I love, it's super warm. I have about chin length very curly hair, and it gets fluffy. So I started putting this hat on after I shower, towel dry a little, and put some Redken Anti-snap in it. I leave it on for 10-20 minutes, and it straightens the top, flattens it a little, and leaves it to curl at the bottom, like a Japanese style or something. It ends up looking like I have straight hair that I curled at the bottom like my sister-in-law does.

I just wanted to share this little bit with you!

Are we talking about one of these:

What's the material on the inside. I'm willing to try almost anything for variation with my curly hair that doesn't involve too much damage.

Ahaha. That's almost exactly it. It has faux fur on the inside of the ear flaps, and fleece on the rest of the inside.
