Skin Care rec please!

I am looking to try a new brand of skin care products. I have tried clinique and origins, which both seemed to work at first and then stopped working. My skin is combination type which is acne prone. My moisturiser seems to 'sit' on my skin instead of going in. My skin can also get very dry and is also quite sensitive to a alot of products. I don't think I have a very even skin tone either and quite a bit of redness. Can anyone reccomend me a good brand to try? Preferably not too expensive but if it's reallllly worth the money I don't mind!

I like Avene .. it's middle of the road cost (drug-store)

but if you can snag at least sample of the NARs aqua gel hydrator it works instant miracles to drive moisture (water) into your skin ... I've been enjoying that lately - especially with the humidifier on trying to combat this canadian winter dryness.
