I have read MissChievous' tutorial on taking better makeup pictures but I still cannot get the hang of it! Everything always looks so washed out. I have the Canon PowerShot SD750 if anyone has any tips. You can hardly see my makeup in my pictures when it looks so good in person

This is really pretty!
Maybe try the macro setting on your camera? I used to have a Canon PowerShot digi cam and I used to have problems with that too. I would always just leave it on automatic settings and put it on macro, so I could get clearer shots of my makeup, especially up close. The macro button should look like a little flower.

This helped me too, thanks to MissChievous:

Steamy looks great on you!

Things that have worked for me:
-Have as much natural sunlight as possible (very important)
-Turn macro setting (flower) on - this helps sharpen close up images and adjusts the amount of flash
-Use the portrait setting (head)
