Summer holiday with just one quad

I'm going to New York on summer holiday in two weeks (I really can't wait, I want to start packing now!), and I am going to buy so much make up there, that I've decided to bring just one quad of MAC shadows and a highlighter from YSL. Along with a few lipsticks and Summer Rose + Shell Pearl beauty powders.

But which 4 shadows

I was thinking maybe a light blue (Suave Intentions?), a pink (Swish?) and a green (Springtime Skipper?)

They are very summer-y I think, but what about the fourth?

Any ideas?

A purple - Parfait Amour, Lotusland, Satellite Dreams, or Very Violet?

I would take a grey or a black one to create a smokey-summery look.

Funnily enough, I've been going back and forth between purple and gray

I only have two greys, Silver Ring and Bough Grey.
Of purples I have Thunder, Dames Desire, Bruised Plum, Black Tulip, Jungle Moon and Shale.

Since it's summer, I want to make bright but light looks, suitable for SHOPPING!

You can't go wrong with Silver Ring.

If purple take Thunder.

Anyways, I'll be raiding Sephora, Mac and Inglot, so after a
few days I'll probably have anything I need for any look

I vote Bough Grey. I am loving that shadow, and it looks great with brights and light shades.

I don't seem to get much colour out of it, but maybe that's a good
thing in this case

When I travel with makeup I always try to have at least 1 brown/bronze kinda shade. But then again I'm a boring neutral lover

If you're having trouble deciding on only 4 shadows, you can pop out the plastic piece with the wells to fit 6 mac pans in there. The more the merrier =D
