sun- and light-proof?

Hey!
i really need to make a home for my babies, cause at the moment they all live unorganized, lying around inside my wardrobe.

now i want to use one big shelf of mine, which is near the window. and so i wanted to ask you guys if its bad to keep them opened, not inside any shelves... so that basicly all light falls on them. its not that the sunrays would directly hit the makeup, but it still wouldnt be kept in a dark place. i dont know a better solution, but i want to keep my stuff in a safe place, so what are your oppinions?

That does not sound like a good location. Although the sun will not hit the makeup directly, the makeup will still be subjected to the heat generated by the sun which will destroy your makeup.
