Today was my mall preview day!

so we are getting a mall here in lil ol simi valley, and today was the preview day for the two department stores, macy's and robinson's may. so after school, my mom picked me up and took me over there.

we got into macy's and right by the door, whaddaya know?, its the mac counter! i see my dance teacher, who is now working there full time, and we chat and i tell her i'll come back later and have my makeup done.

so we are walking towards the junior's section, when the lady from the dior counter stops us. she sits me down and puts some diorshow, skinflash, foundation, and blush on me. i LOVE diorshow. i hated everything else. the foundation smelled like my grandma and felt extremely heavy on my skin. the blush was cute, just not my color.

then we walked around for a little while and i bought a cute dress. then i went back to the mac counter and my instructor (stacey) sat me down and did my makeup. she used amber lights, crystal avalanche, moon's reflection, and saucepot. oh wow, it looked great. i have never used coppers on myself before, and i looooved it. so then i decided that i wanted sauce pot and the magenta eye palette. so while she is showing me the e/s, i ask her what the pearlizers are used for. she shows me, and then gives me a (generous) sample of all three!!!! she then says that they should last me for a while, but to call her if i need any more. WOW!!! aaaah! i looooove having connections. i walked out of the store glowing. i'm soooo happy!

Sounds like you had an awesome day hun! Dior makeup definately has a distinct smell to it. I use Dior Show Mascara and I love it but the smell is a bit overpowering.

I'm building a strong connection with my counter too! And it pays off every visit! Like last time when I got one of the Ornamentalism postcards (although the collection will be out on Nov 8th!) and a free jar of Coco Beach! Wooohoo!!

Its so great that you have ur MAC connection. It was really nice of your teacher to hook you up like that. I think I need to get me a sample of the pearlizers, I want to try them out but I dont wanna buy a whole thing cuz... really I dont know what to use them for.
About Dior, yeah, it has somewhat of a strong smell but I can deal with it with DiorShow cuz it's just the perfect mascara for me... Works wonders on curling my no-budge straight lashes even without a curler... woohoo!!! Oh and the DiorKiss l/g arent bad either... But for everything else MAC is my baby!!! LOL.
