treatment for varicose veins

I am considering treatment for varicose veins in one of my legs, and i was wondering if anyone has any experience with this?

A vein specialist/surgeon gave me two options: surgery vs. laser. Surgery is covered by health insurance, laser is not. (I think it would cost around $2000 CDN). Apparently with surgery there is a chance the varicose veins could come back.

Has anyone had either of these types of treatments? I'd be interested in knowing what your thoughts are and if there any 'side-effects' or repercussions that come after the treatment? Do you have to wear those support socks literally all the time?

I know right now all I can think of is how great it would be to not feel self-conscious about wearing shorts or skirts, but before I go ahead with it I just want to be well-informed.

My aunt was given an option to go for keyhole surgery on hers a year ago but she was reluctant to do so .he was concerned with the complications that comes after the op . She has been taking hose chestnut supplements and applying varicose treatment cream from naturalis . Her condition has improved though it slow ..2 months later ,but she is so much happier now .... feeling less muscle cramps, aching and pain on the leg. You may want try the natural remedy as another option . Lol hope this help.
