Is anyone else having trouble getting onto the MAC website? I haven't been able to get on it for 3 days or so?

Really? Nothing happened to me. Maybe check your server and make sure your programs are up-to-date. Otherwise, just go to the site through a proxy.

I'm not having problems with accessing the site, but I AM having problems with them taking too damn long to send me my stuff. I've had an order pending since the 25th!!

What is it doing exactly? Is it just hanging? Are you getting an error message? Is it not loading correctly? Have you tried a different browser?

Thanks for your replies!

On both my dads laptop and my own I have the following message:

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at maccosmetics.co.uk.

* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
Example Web Page

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Im so confused! I have no idea what to do! I have no problems with any other website?

Why can't I access MACs website?

For some time now, I have been unable to access any of MACs websites. It's really annoying.

I am on Firefox and MAC. Does anyone else have this problem? Or have any ideas what is wrong?

Hm..I'm using Firefox and I don't have a problem.

Maybe try clearing your browser if that helps?

No I tried that. I think it's our wifi somehow now that I check again. When I try using a 3G connection it works fine.

It wasn't working for me for awhile earlier and then it started working again--I think they were having problems on their end.

Well it how ever many days later from my original post and I still can't access the website. The IT technician for my college is coming tomorrow though to sort the printers out, maybe I could ask him what to do and report back?

Okay,

So I asked the IT guy and he had no idea. I've rang MAC who have had no reported problems, I've rang my line connection company and my internet service provider to no avail. The internet service provider just logged a problem and said if it's not fixed in around 5 days time to give them a call back.

I'm really getting upset at this point. I really don't know what to do. Can anyone help at all? I don't speak computer

Okay, I just thought I'd update this thread.

To anyone else who is having problems with the MAC website, it IS THEIR problem.

I can get on any website apart from companies of those related to MAC, including Clinique, Estee Lauder etc.. And I've rang my ISP and all sorts to ensure there is not a problem on my end.

Problem is, I've now rang MAC 3 times over the past two weeks and they refuse to admit there has been a problem for some people. I now know of a few girls (and guys!) around the world having issues. All I have been asked is if there is anything I'd like to mail order.. Erm.. how can I when I don't know what you're actually selling at the moment?

I really am at a loss. If anyone can offer me an insight on who to contact that would be great. Don't get me wrong, the MAC team have been great in the past but I'm becoming increasingly frustrated! Rant over.

SOLVED!

Long story cut short, if you use Orange for your internet, it's their fault and you need to call them to receive new DNS server settings.

MAC are now fully aware of this and have realised that this is becoming an issue with some of its customers. As far as I know they now also have the DNS server settings if you become stuck.

Moderators/Admin, please could you somehow make this findable for others? MAC have said quite a few people have had trouble and I wouldn't want anyone else to go without the MAC website for 3/4 weeks!
