I use Mystery and an angle brush, then I set everything with clear brow set.

This is how I darken my blonde brows, but I couldn't imagine someone painting their eyebrows on with this method, I would think it would only work for people with eyebrows already that need them to appear thicker/darker

pencil on eyebrows is my pet peeve, especially when people shave their eyebrows off and then draw them on. Looks so tacky to me. And the worst thing I've ever seen is liquid eyeliner on eyebrows, I've seen it here and on MAC groups on Myspace. So gross. I use Embark eyeshadow with my little 266 brush and i set it with clear or brown mascara, it looks so much more natural and soft.

for the longest time i used just a pencil to fill in my brows and i hated it. too harsh and unnatural i think. mannn, i remember the day i started using powder and brushes to fill them in...definately one of the greatest days of my cosmetic life haha

If you use a light hand and the right kind of pencil, it can look just as good/natural as powder(but then again, I was a m/u artist for many years).

Admittedly, the e/s brow trick is much easier and usually a better match colour-wise.
I do both methods.

Karen, that's the trick, I've tried a bunch of different pencils & never wanted to spend a ton on them, just use them as "filler," and it is hard to find the right kind of pencil.

Oh and shaving brows....I always feel awful for people that have done that!

Anthem, yes, it was one of the better days of my life lately! *lol* I love discovering something that's been there all the time...just waiting for my light bulb to turn on...
