As for my camera, it's nothing special. I've been taking pics of my makeup for over three years, so I've learned what angles work for me. I browse makeup pictures (amateur and professional) on flickr.com a lot and try to mimic angles that I think look good or show the makeup well.

Also, when I started doing makeup pictures I found Mischevious' photo taking tutorial extremely helpful. I don't fiddle much with the ISO's etc but I do use natural light when I can and use the macro (flower) setting

oh my goodness! i must know what color was used in the inner lid/crease of the first look. That color is to die for!
