UD 24/7 liner names.

Maybe this only bothers me, but the white 24/7 liner is named after a drug. I mean, why would Urban Decay pick a name for their eyeliners after a hard drug?

Am i the only one kind of bothered by this?

It is slang for heroin, but in Swahili Yeyo means mother. So perhaps that's what they were going for.

I noticed that too. It bothered me a little bit because I'm so anti-drug, but I can't say it stopped me from buying the product.

I don't care. There are people who are put off by NARS' names. In the end, it's just makeup.

i actually think it's kind of clever. coke is white and the product is used to draw LINEs etc.
maybe the point is that yeyo, cocaine or whatever is a part of urban "decay", as in it is something that decays urban society, but is part of it no less.

lol i dunno, but i doubt the point of it is to condone drug use

I don't have a problem with their products name. I think they fit well with the brand.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the idea behind the names of many products.
Such as narcotic, cult, chronic (a green shade....lol, go figure), buzzkill, blunt, jones, mary jane, roach...lol. They also have a white eye shadow also called yeyo. I mean, the drug references are everywhere with this brand. So it's really not surprising. And it doesn't bother me at all. You can't take things too seriously with makeup. Not surprising that their makeup remover is called, "clean and sober". lol
They even have mascara called "big fatty"...lol.

I think it's clever. And I'm definitely no drug user. I consider myself to be very "anti-drug" in fact.

Ever watched scarface? Yeyo... Cocaine.

I think some of you are missing the beautiful irony of the brand. It's called urban decay, and you use it to make yourself beautiful. I think the company is incredibly smart in that respect.

I totally agree...Of course, some of the NARS names do sound a little more appealing

Lol... I just bought the VIP liner package and when I saw that the metallic white was called "yeyo" i had a little chuckle. And I actually can't stand cocaine - people are all "Heroin is so destructive and horrible" but so many think cocaine is ok to do socially, not that dangerous, ect, when it actually IS - it's quite easy to OD on coke. So no, I don't like coke at all, but I still thought it was funny the liner was named that.

I enjoy all the weed references too - blunt, buzkill, ect. It's refreshing in this era of "dont say anything that could offend anyone, ever!"
