Updated Makeup Room and Makeup Collection, Storage and Organization (video, pics coming soon)

It's taken a year since the last update in my previous thread, but I've finally completed my makeup room. I'm really excited!!

As always, kudos go to my man for being super handy with the power tools and the making of stuff!

Some info on the storage and decor bits:

The drawers are the various Alex units from Ikea: http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/search/?query=Alex
The tabletop is the older version of the white gloss Linnmon top, size 59"x29": http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/20251356/

The plastic inserts are from Maxi Superstores and Dollarama, and they range from 3 for 1$ to 3$ each. Some boxes are repurposed candle boxes, box lids and Ferraro Rocher chocolate bins. The DVD holders for MAC palettes are from a store in Toronto called Solutions: http://www.solutions-stores.ca/ecommerce/control/main

The lamp was a custom-made gift. The chair, mirror and most other design elements are from Homesense. The flowers are from Pier1. The lights and lighting fixtures are from Walmart, Canadian Tire and Home Depot.

I love your room! How fabulous and luxurious. We have a room in our house that, right now, is the "catch-all" room where we stick stuff we'll go through later, my husband and I. But once it's cleaned out, I'm turning it into my makeup room. I don't have quite the collection you do, but I have my fair share. I share your nail polish obsession. I have over 300 polishes and recently my friend, who also does my pedicures, told me how quickly they can go bad. Have you ever tried the Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes? They're awesome. Very unique colors. I also love how durable Chanel polish is and Estee Lauder is a fave too. Awesome organization and you have inspired me. Thanks for sharing.

So, after watching this video and hearing you say that you edited your makeup collection, that inspired me to edit my lip product collection. I have WAY too many lip products and too many nail polishes, but the polishes are neatly tucked away. So upon going through my lipsticks I discovered I had 4 of the EXACT SAME Dolce and Gabbana lipstick colors. I felt like such a stooge. And they had all been used by me at some point so I couldn't give any away. I also discovered I had several of the same MAC lip colors and Chanel as well. The MAC ones were like new, had never been used. So I gave them to my sister. What's the matter with me? I remember going on a manic shopping spree around this time, so I guess that could explain it. Anyway, now my lip products are all organized and neat, thanks to your inspiration. I still have too many, even after editing. But I love makeup. Thanks for sharing. You've given me great ideas.
