WOOO so I'm going to Vegas for the first time next weekend for my 23rd birthday! I haven't been there since I was 10, but seriously, what's there to do in Vegas when you're 10? Anyway, I'm so excited I don't know what to do first (besides get a drink, of course!). My bf and I decided to do it super last min. and DAMN IT the freakin World Series of Poker is in Vegas that weekend so there weren't any decent priced places on the Strip that had good reviews so we're staying at some random hotel/casino in downtown Vegas. I was a little disappointed and my poor boyfriend was bummed because he wanted my birthday to be perfect

SOO to my Vegas Specktra-ettes and veteran Vegas go-ers, what should be my first move? aand most importantly, where's the MAC PRO store? LOL jk. Kinda. I can't wait!

MAC Pro is in the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace... but watch out- it's DANGEROUS.

What kind of stuff do you like to do- are you a sightseer, clubber, shopper, etc?

That ought to narrow down suggestions.

Hm. Those all sound like fun, lol. I was only half joking about the Pro store, I'll go if I somehow win lots of money. I'll probably do more clubbing/drinking/gambling.

well, on the bright side- you'll be ON Fremont Street, so it'll be easy to see the Fremont Street Experience at night. :p

Bad thing is that you'll either have to resort to cabs or the Deuce for transportation to the strip- or rent a car. the former two are cheaper.

Fun places for sightseeing are the strip in general- there is lots of people watching, etc. looking at all the different properties is a trip, too. Fountains at Bellagio are cool I hear, TI does a show every hour or something like that, the volcano at Mirage is closed for renovations, so thats a no-go.

Shows- Cirque du Soleil is always entertaining, KA is awesome, as is LOVE.
Thunder from Down Under is nice for the ladies.. but if your SO is with you probably not lol. theyre yummmmy tho.

Food: there is food everywhere, it depends what you like. MESA at Caesar's is pretty yum for not $$, (It's Bobby Flay's)

There is a great sandwich shop at Paris that is reasonably priced, good bread, soups, etc.

Great steakhouse at Paris, too. Les Artistes.

Clubs? I dunno- not a big club person, Playboy cluv is alright- MOON is ok too (they're kinda together) PURE was fun when I went there, but its been ages...Polly Esthers was a blast lol not sure why- just was.

Shopping- Premiuim outlets are amazing- and right by Fremont Street off of Charleston. Dolve and Gabbana, CCO, Burberry, Diesel, you name it. its fab- I go there weekly.

Forum Shops are fun- but $$$$$ more fun to window shop as I cant afford much :p

Hmmm, thats all I can think of, if you have any other questions, lmk

I am not a gambler, But I agree the shopping is awesome. The outlets are a great start, then I go NUTS at Caesars and Wynn, etc.

FOod--MESA Grill at Caesars (mentioned before) is THE BOMB. I find it pretty steep pricewise but worth every freaking penny.

That's good Golden Nugget is the nicest downtown. They redid the pool I think it was last year and it's really cool, especially to sit out there late in the evening when the pool is closed. They had a small bar open out there and with a light breeze and the water from the waterfall in the pool lightly blowing over our legs felt great. It was a nice break after walking around, just to put your feet up and relax. The last two years when we've been down there after it has cleared out there have been commercials or movies being filmed. Some of the areas are used for CSI. We haven't stayed down there in a while but we always go downtown a little. Have fun and let us know how you like everything and what all you did.

I LOVE CSI!! lol! besides not being able to find a hotel on the strip, the pictures of the pool at the Golden Nugget is what sold us. I'll be sure to let you all know about my Vegas adventures and probably post some pics
