waxy lips ??

so ive noticed that sometimes my lips get this
waxy film on it when i put chapstick. i used to use
burts bees and i switch to carmex.. and thats what
gives me the filmy stuff.

does anyone else get this or is it just some weird thing
ive encountered?

I get that, too. I think a lot of chapsticks use wax in their formula to help seal in water and make your lips moist.

most lip protectants do have waxes in them to retain moisture in your lips. a good alternative is mac's tendertones...they provide moisture without any waxy feeling, just lovely sheer glossy colour.
