Well I had my demo

Hi guys,
I had my Demo interview yesterday.
It went really well.

The Counter manager, area manager and another manager were there.
I wasn't too nervous luckily enough.
They asked me to do a sophisticated day look on the Counter manager.

I cleansed the skin and eyes.
I then started on the eyes
They only had limited products as the job is at the airport so they had to hire a room out.

I used concealer on the eye lid and then used jest all over upto the brow.
I can't remember the colour I used on the lid but It was a bit darker than jest.
I then used trax in the crease.
I used Smoulder smudged on top and bottom lid and a couple of coats of zoom mascara.

I then started on the face.
I used prep and prime and then select foundation.
I sweeped over powder, blush and bronzer.
I finished with twig lipstiack and matching lip pencil.

I spoke to the Counter manager like she was a customer.
I'm quite a bubbly person so I made sure that came across well.

They asked me a few questions which I feel I answered well.
They told me they thought my make up skills were good and that my knowledge of make up and mac was good too.

We all chatted about other things for awhile such as hair and tv!!!
At the end we all shook hands.
The Area Manager took my hand and then put her other hand on top of mine and said It was a pleasure to meet me.

I can't think of anything negative about the interview but I don't wanna get my hopes up too much.
Keep your fingers crossed for me. I should find out next week!!

hey just a question, but is it like MAC policy or normality to apply the eye make-up prior to face (primer/foundation) makeup? or is that just what you prefer? and what kind of questions did they ask you, if you don't mind?

I always apply eyeshadow first. I do this so I don't mess up the foundation with falling eyeshadow, esp if it's a dark colour!
The area manager seemed quite impressed with this and she said alot of make up artists use this technique.

The questions asked were
Why do you want to work for MAC?
who are your fave make up artists and why?
If MAC was a colour, what would it be?

It may be different for some of you guys as I'm in England.
