Wet or dry pigments?

Do you perfer using pigments wet or dry? I've never tried wet, but I've been checking out some the FOTDs and they look great with using the pigments wet.

Hey well im also new here..And i just went and bought the water based mixing medium and i will say that applying pigments wet makes a HUGE difference..Theyre not soo messy and so much vibrant than applied dry..

Depends on the look you want! If you want everything soft, sheer or delicate, use 'em dry. If you want them really intense, use 'em wet.

with me, it depends on both the look i am going for, and the pigment i a using. if i plan on putting a shadow on top, then i'll use a mixing medium with the pigment, since it helps the shadow adhere, i've found. there are certain colors, also, that i find really work well wet, such as melon, fuschia, rebel rock blue, and kelly green. others, such as grape and emerald green, i prefer dry. plus, i like using the lighter, highlight colors dry, with a fluffy brush, such as the 217.
