What brush do you use for a very intense build up of color?

Also, do you pat or blend it on? I wanted to get a really metallic, intense finish, but I don't think my method is working well.

I find my 239 deposits color the best. It picks up a lot of product, and if you pat the shadow on it comes out very concentrated and true-to-pot.

I think any of the white haired (goat hair I think) brushes from mac will do what youre asking for. I've heard a lot of people like the 242 for this purpose as well, but I dont find it good at all.

I also suggest you try applying the shadow wet.

For my lids, I use 239, for the crease- 222 is great. I used them both this morning to 'pat' or 'pack' on the color.

I find the #242 is best for apply e/s intensely. I use it to grab e/s or pigment & then buff it on

I have a few of them I love it so much. I've never seen anything work better.

another vote for 242 - i like it better than my 239 for that purpose IMO. I use the 239 for the new moisturecover concealer (as recommended by my MAC MA)

I use the 242, 252, or the 239...
You can either pat it on or kinda pat and rub the color on.....

Also are you using anything as a base for the shadow (ie

aint, shadestick, fluidline,etc..)

That would make your color more "vibrant"
