in my quest to slowly collect all the mac shadows, these are some of the existing colors that are not yet in my possession. if you could rank them in two categories the: "what? you don't have this yet?" and "don't bother, it's either (a) has a similar twin (b) has workablity issues or (c) is blah" that would be absolutely fan-friggin-tastic!
thanks in advance! =) and if it helps i'm nc30 with dark hair and brown eyes

Don't bother w/ Surreal, it's similar to Steamy but not as pretty.

For me it's the other way round, I'd say get both

And Gleam is another must-have for me!

pro sky blue I think allll the pro shadows are tough to work with and
pro teal blue don't give enough color payoff with regular methods of
pro dark teal use. They're almost matte, but not quite...they're just
pro goldenrod kind of *meh* to me.
pro burnt orange
pro red brick
pro rose

jewel blue--it has its place, but I don't find it very versatile
steamy--LOVE it
surreal--I like steamy more
deep truth--great dark blue
blackberry--I like it, some find it hard to blend
crystal--not a lot of color payoff IMO
mink pink--weird color, some find the texture difficult
folie--don't like it
jest--one of my all time faves
concrete--muddy
hush--I like Jest way more
grain--it's ok
nehru--good liner color
corduroy--ugly IMO
orb--it's ok
white frost--great to blend lighter colors
gesso--no
chill--no
petalescent--I hate this, but it may be a personal issue--odd sheen to it
bisque--kinda boring but it has its uses
era--kinda boring
gleam--very pretty
malt--enh
yogurt--it is kinda chalky, but I like it

jewel blue- this is ok.. i have it but i could live without it.
steamy- has a look alike: Shimmermoss..i'd get shimmermoss it's a veluxe pearl!
surreal
deep truth- you gotta have this! im a NC35 and its the prettiest dark blue for our complexion.. others like contrast is too dark or freshwater too bright.
crystal
blackberry
crystal
mink pink
folie
jest
concrete
hush
grain- uhhh don't bother.. it doesn't really show up on me
nehru
corduroy
orb- barely shows on me, but its a nice base color!
white frost
gesso
chill
jest- nice highlight/tear duct shadow when you do pink or purple e/s combos
petalescent
bisque
era
gleam
malt
yogurt-i've heard this has workability issues! get Llama instead.. awsome if used over bare canvas paint

the only one i say you need is gleam. the pro ones are a weird texture... like 99 cent store quality (in my opinion!) and the others have lots of twins. ie: steamy.. there are 1000000 teals/greenyblues made my MAC. but gleam is gorgeous.

The only ones that you listed that I own and use (as opposed to the ones that just languish in my palette) are:

gleam- nice, but very glittery, not a must have. it looks pretty in the pan but I never use it alone because it has so little payoff.
steamy- gorgeous! it you don't have a dark, green teal already get this one.
deep truth- must have! my favorite dark blue. Most of MAC's dark blues are so dark, they're nearly black. This one is very clearly blue. Love it!
Crystal- pretty grey, but it's more violet toned than I'd like. It's nice, but not a must have.
Jest- very pretty highlighter, though nothing to get excited about. There are lots of good highlighters you could buy and not need this one to.
Hush- ditto what I said for Jest.
Orb- a must for me, but probably not for most people. Orb is about the same color as my skin (I'm NW20) and is a good color to use to "clean up" my browbone or inner corners if I end up applying my crease color to a larger area than I intended. I doubt if I were to wake up 3 shades darker though, I'd use this at all.
