What's your favourite mixing medium and why

I recently went to a mac pro store to get water based mixing medium to foil pigments to create shadows. The mua recommended the matte mixing medium as it wasn't a messy. Since I have ingots version of the water based mixing medium I got the matte mixing medium. I do find it creases tho and I do find the Inglot mm a bit messy- sometimes I use too much or too little- stil can't figure out the right consistency!! What's your favourite mixing medium and why? Any tips you have for application/mixing would also be appreciated!

the only ones that i have are the gel one which is great for making glitter eyeliners and also the water based one which is good for foiling pigments and mes. i haven't had the matte one i'm afaid

Yes...gr8 topic..I want to know as well....I want to "learn" how to make liners and such out of piggies and baked shadows so I can have liners in every colour of the rainbow..including glittery ones

I don't know which one to buy, does it go on top of primer, etc....
