what's your opinion of the new traincase?

so i got one. and i do not like it at all. the size makes absolutely no sense. it is not practical for the professional artist...maybe the consumer...i dont know...and its too deep, i want a case to keep things organzied-not something i have to dig into...what do you all think? I want the old traincase back! (especially the one before the previous 1.6-it was bigger!)

i got a chance to see it right before thanksgiving and it totally sucks! too small, too deep, too everything-that-i-don't-want-in-a-traincase! i hope i can still order the 1.6 for the next EMS.

it looks more like a very organized lunch box.

It looks like a typewriter. I hate the way the top of the case is.
It's really impractical.

I have the old one and I love it - before I got it, I had a traincase just like the new one - I hated it...Like everyone else - I agree that it isn't practical or even as nice looking...

I saw it when they first got them in at the Boston store, and I thought "thank god, it's awful" because that saves me a good chunk of money. I have no idea what they were thinking in approving the design for production. What makeup artist or aficianado (you know the type of person who would pay that much for a traincase) is going to want something with so little function and size?

They really missed the boat on this one IMHO.

I am glad that I saw it in person (happened by chance as I actually live 2 hours from closest store and considered ordering it online earlier.) I imagined it was twice as wide as it really is; I would have been majorly disappointed to pull that out of the box.

i work @ a counter so I have not seen it in person yet. I was wondering what it was like because in update it did not sound that great to me. Good thing I did not order it in EMS! I wanted to but our RM told us we couldn't, oh well.

I was under the impression that there was a place for brushes, is there?

the dividers are removeable so you can make it a bit more custom. its just a glorified CARRY ALL.

I was playing with it in the store and really like it... more than the old one, which I have. On this one, you can move the compartments and it doesn't fall backwards from the weight like my old one did.

I still haven't bought one, but I may still get it one day.

Also, the design is very clean and I like that.

Oh, good! I hated how the other ones tipped over. I might order one with the next EMS and just use it for storage. I am probably one of the few MAC MAs that doesn't have a MAC traincase...lol.

I really wondering if I should pick up the old traincase while I still can...
Failing that, I might pick up the backpack-looking thing
