Considering that I just can not tell the difference in the picture I would like to know if there is a post or if somebody can tell me some names of eBay sellers that have real MAC brushes at nice prices. TIA

I just bought 2 holiday 06 brush sets from 2raspberries. She seems good, I will update when I receive them. I think she may have full size ones as well.

hmmm, now I am wondering if it is real, because of her other brushes now seem to be fake looking. Sorry if she is a good seller and I said she was.

I would love to know as well. There are to many fakes on ebay so I try to stay away. Especially with pigments. I bought a fake Fairylite and Pink Vivid once. Good thing they were only samples!

I had a whole lot of trouble when I purchased a fake 190 brush from adajacobs. Don't go there! even though many people here recommend her - stay away from her brushes!

Just wanted to let you know (even if I've posted this in another thread!)

I found a very useful information about counterfeit MAC brushes from an eBay seller, hoanganhcali.

New tip for identify fake Mac brush:

Authentic Mac brushes ALWAYS come in plastic sleeves WITH PRODUCT'S BARCODE PRINTED ON THE PLASTIC SLEEVE. The handle is heavy and sturdy, the bristle's texture is fine and held securely by the ferrules. The more you wash the softer it will get.

Fake Mac brushes come in plain plastic sleeves packing without barcodes printed on the plastic sleeve. The handle is made of bad quality wood, feels like you could bend it, and its got a horrible strong odour of paint and it smells like they just painted it. The bristle's texture is dull and does not hold very securely by the ferrules. All the bristles will fall off after just one wash...yuck...

Hope that helps!

you could try linda.and.rosie on aussie ebay - she sells authentic mac products all time, and quite often has brushes available, she is an absolutely gorgoeus person and she would never sell you crap!

I bought a holiday set of MAC brushes some time ago on ebay, and it came in a box with the nordstrom sticker on it. Some of the brushes though had really hard bristles, I didn't even want to use them after I tried it once on my face. Even my regular synthetic brushes felt softer and more easy on my face than those. So could I have gotten a set of fake brushes or perhaps a bad batch?
