why do people dislike honey lust?

I think a lot of people have just had bad experience with lustre formulated eyeshadows. I have retrospeck and rarely use it because I can't do anything with it.

Personally I love lustres. Honey Lust is a nice color for the lids. As for Retrospeck I love using it as a wash for lids and using a chocolate brown in the outer v for a neautral look.

I personally like the Lustre's and don't find them a problem to put on or blend as long as I have a base on. The only one I have had a problem like that with was Forgery. I like Honey Lust, although it's not like my fave color and I probably wouldn't rebuy it just because it's a little too peachy/bronzey on me. It's also very pigmented on me, so it can be a bit disco ball on my lids. But it's nice every once in a while.

I love the color, but it doesn't do good with my pale skintone(looks orangish). But it looks gorgeous on my tan sister!

so i gave it to her, because i'm nice like that.

I love lustre's for brow highlighting or an allover wash. I like the color personally, but others get frustrated with the glitter that seems to fall all over the place.

I really like it, though I find I it goes on so much better if I use my finger rather than a brush. It's a great colour and I guess I'm lucky cos I never seem to have a problem with falling glitter.

i personally love lustres, they are my favorite and honey lust also happens to be a favorite of mine,i use it so much as just a light makeup for when i dont feel like going all out.

The color is pretty when i swipe it on my finger and smudge in on the back of my hand. However the color does not appear like that on my eyes.
in addition, here are the reasons why i dislike Honey Lust:
1. The glitter falls everywhere and yes i have used every single type of base and tried applying it wet.
2. The glitter gets into my eyes and makes them water, itch, and rubbing my eyes would smudge my eye makeup or cause my contact lenses to fall out.
3. the glitter that gets into my eyes get stuck on my contact lenses and are difficult to get rid of. Most of the time i cant get all of it off my lenses. And therefore it would cause further irritation and may lead to eye infection. (and eventually blindness?)

but i seriously hate Honey Lust.
I have never tried other lustre e/s because of this.

I haven't played with Honey Lust or Mythology in a while. I might have to re-introduce myself to them this week. :p

I love lustre e/s! Honeylust is gorgeous on me. I usually use the lustre finishes in the middle of my eyelid to make my eyeshadow application pop if that makes any sense.

I love retrospeck!
It gives me a really nice pulled together look when I have to go all professional, but I don't want to compromise too much.
I use it as an all over wash!

I found it one of the worst lustres, which I don't like in general. No matter what I did I ended up with more of it on my face then my eyes, and the glitter was way too chunky

I gave it a second chance today and am wearing it over shimmersand shadestick and it looks fine. But I just haven't found many looks I can wear it with...it is a pretty color- I mean I did pay money for it.

I agree with joytheobscure, it's not all that easy to work with as the colour is quite loud. But I think it's a pretty colour and it does look great on tanned gals.
