Congratulations, WONDERFUL product line. I must say as kindly as I can, that many of us "in this forum" are "customers". You may want to keep that in mind when posting.

They ask SO MANY QUESTIONS about make-up, make-up experience, etc.
But I think thats because dior is one of the more prestigious houses?
Because I was interviewed by the department store AND dior as well. And I am a qualified MA. But I just finished my course so I dont have any experience yet.

But, if your wanting to get your foot in the door, I would recommend applying for the perfume department or one of the smaller counters like revlon, and then trying for the bigger houses once you've worked there for a while. Or you could get qualified?
Good luck

If you have any more questions I'd be happy to try and answer them for you!

Which course did you do?

I'm thinking of doing either cert II or diploma. If I do cert II I'll be closer to home which would be a huge advantage but not sure if you'd need the diploma to work at a counter.

Congrats. I've heard a lot of good things about Dior. Everyone I know who works for Dior loves it, I'm sure you will too.

I did cert II.
You definitely dont need a diploma to work at a counter!!
And if you do cert II and still want to learn more, you can do the diploma and get credit for already completing cert II.
I soo want to do cert IV (fashion/media) as well but nowhere in Perth offers cert IV

Oh, and with the diploma there is HEAPS on SPX and theatrical, which, urgh, just isnt for me

Oh thanks, yeah cert II sounds more of what I want to do.

Bummer they don't offer cert IV there, in time you could always go somewhere else that offers the course.

I'm currently at uni studying bio science but either next year or after I graduate I'll probably take cert II at the tafe near my hometown.

Yeah Im studying at Uni too. Haha it was pretty hard to do both uni & cert II but it was good

And yeah, once I've finished studying Im planning on moving to Sydney, so I'll probably do my cert IV then! Which will be fun!

I had my first day!
omg it was scary!

I was supposed to be on with the counter manager and learn a bit of product training (cuz I havent been to dior training yet) and SHE CALLED IN SICK!
And no-one called me, so I still turned up and did my shift :p haha, I was all by myself on the dior counter!!
I just had to wing it!
But it was fun, and a girl from another counter helped me out a bit.
I still managed to make some sales, and match foundations and stuff

So far I love it, and I figure it can only get better! I did have one snooty customer, but she wasnt too bad.

I cant wait to go to Dior training!
