Tom Ford Beauty Discussion

I so agree with you. For me value is quality and not the number of items you get for a certain price. I would rather pay a lot for one or two items that I really love than having a ton of products for the same amount of money that I don't even like, to me that sounds like clutter and clutter freaks me out. I agree with you some bloggers are so irritating when they say some products are geared towards "older women" because they are expensive, is a bit uncomfortable for me. Like Dior's Capture Totale foundation that was my HG foundation for a while. I hated hearing for "mature skin" or "older ladies" 'cos I'm pretty far from those categories. On the flip side I also hate it when bloggers LOVE a product just because it's expensive. To me it's just irrational and like they are trying to sell a mediocre product. Especially when they mention what is wrong with the product yet recommend it because it's an expensive brand!
I chuckled at the comments about limited edition items and difficulty buying them. I've never stayed up all night
stalking for a single TF item---if it ever comes to that then I don't need the brand---I won't spend my best days
chasing makeup.

Yes, I am going on rant. Got an email about my not fav blogger about TF. Read the comments, really??? Yes, his photos are racy. But gee, the ads for other products do not represent who I am or the thoughts I have as a person. Yes, I get it when you are in college, or just starting out needing to be careful with limited funds. But I never trashed the product I couldn't afford. Or say it was for older people. Heck, I had a Black Amex card when I was 16. Yes, It was Daddy's, but to assume a line is expensive and not targeted for younger people is hog wash. My first makeup was Chanel. Mama always said better to have a few great products, then a dresser full of cheap ones. Yes, I had to pay Daddy for anything I charged on his card. Really going without food is not bad, when you have incredible makeup to play with. Or walking instead of driving when you have no money for gas. But you have that lipstick!!!!
this is why i dont have a big collection, like my whole collection would probably fit in a 3-5 muji drawer lol, i much prefer to have a very small makeup collection full of great quality (and pretty packaged) products than a full drawer of crappy stuff, my grandma would even say "if its great quality stuff, buy it, otherwise just skip it" and she was right.

Look for the day:

same base as yesterday except....
YSL eclait pen, late night last night. Needed some pep this morning.
cheek contour: Chanel Notorious
blush: Chanel #79 Cheeky cream blush, blend out with Aucoin foundation brush, yes, the HUGE dome brush head.
eye: Chanel d'ombre 91 on lid (navy blue) 84 (kind of green/gold) in crease, used fingertips to apply and blend
Liner: MAC Black Line
lips: Chanel gloss 164
brow pencil: Aucoin Ash blonde....

Didn't feel like washing brushes today...the Auction foundation brush and the Chanel retractable Kabuki brush only get a full bath once a week. Clean in-between with MAC cleaner for a fast and quick cleaning.

I'm sure you look stunning. I love Chanel IDO Apparition. It's time for Mr Ford to give us a navy cream e/s. GA's EYE TINT,
Meniut (Deep Navy) #2 is really nice too. I have a real think for navy e/s.

I'm wearing TF Golden Peach today for the very first time and I LOVE it. I paired it w/ a couple of shadows from my TF Golden Mink quad and love the results.
