I got Style Curve today. I bought it basically to layer it with Revenge is Sweet. I really like the color and adore it with RIS. For those who liked RIS you should really check this one out. It's a great combo. Oh I also used Magenta lipliner that I bought today as well. I now know why so many people love that liner. I have like 5 glosses it goes with.

I don't use liner often, but when I do Magenta is one of my favorites. It goes with so much and the color is so flattering.

Yeah none of these recent mac collection have interested me..last time I made any real purchases was Venomous Villians when I bought Violetta Revenge is sweet and wicked ways and the red lipstick from that collection!
I was interested in that lipstick Something new but I figure I can recrete the look with stuff I already have like Magneta liner and Magenta lipgloss. I tried it out tonite and it looked great then I add a bit of electric fuschia lipgloss in the center....FIRE

.
Plus I am not trying to have more makeup than I can finish in a lifetime.......so unless something is complete unbelievable I will leave it at the MAC counter!!

So glad Style Curve is getting a lot of love! It's the only thing I'm getting in this collection...I might have to check out this magenta lipliner sometime!

Thanks to those who answered about whether I could use the Beauty Powders as blushes. So these particular Stylishly Yours Beauty Powders are more of a highlight and not a blush... I guess I don't really need any more highlight powders. I just wanted another blush...

yeah these seem a little too sheer to be used as a blush... they are pretty but sadly not needed in my collection.

I'm a bit afraid of touching the Creme Colour Bases - partly because I think I might be too dark for them (NW43) and also because I might unleash a new craze :/

I Loved the color of Style Curve in person. Stupid me, I forgot to ask for it with the rest of my items, so I'm def. getting it whenever they decide to put it up online.

You guys are making me think I should get Style Curve now. It just isn't that wow color I was hoping for. I think on me it will turn pink and I want purple. Gotta fight the urge.

It looked very similar to Petals & Peacocks on me - turned very pink indeed.

I skipped it and am just keeping my fingers crossed for some other nicer purples to show up. My spidey sense is telling me they probably will eventually.

Purples usually run pink on me and I did find that this one looked magenta when I first put it on- definitely more pink than purple. However, I found that building up the colour a little brought out the purple and that, in some light, it took on the appearance of a cool magenta base with a gorgeous purple sheen. It's not as bold as one might think, but I find this colour has depth.

Shisedo is featuring a really gorgeous purple for spring, although it's been a good 10 or 15 years since I bought Shisedo makeup (it used to be pretty way out, then it got really really conservative and MAC was the way to go)

I figure if Shisedo can jump on the purple bandwagon, for sure MAC will have more purple in store for us as the year unfolds.

I am sure that you already have Violetta which is almost an exact dupe. I love Violetta I wear it with Magenta liner and Revenge is sweet lipglass.. I am considering getting Something new lipstick because I dont have any lipstick in that color family ie: Girl about Town, Full fushcia etc........... But I am trying to hold off on it because I can recreate the look with magenta lipliner and magnetique lipgloss or electric fushcia

It goes on sheer and is easily buildable. I did one coat of SC and one of RIS and I didn't think it was too much. I did like though when I really packed on the lipstick it did get more wow. I completely agree with Katred that this color has depth and does settle into more of a purple vs. a hot pink.

I didn't end up getting either, because I feel like I have a lot of highlighters already. Personally, I like the slightly cooler tone of Play It Proper, but you're not honestly going to go wrong with either of them. No matter how pale you are, I can't see these working as anything but a highlighter. Neither is too frosty, so you don't need to worry about that.

Well - you're right. I bought Play it Proper because I liked the pinker shade and this is the first time a Beauty Powder cannot be used as a blush on me. There's no colour - it's just a highlight.

I'm realllllly fair & I couldn't get the powders to show up very much even on my finger tips. Bummer, because they were pretty in the compacts. Stupid MAC

Aww, that sucks Elegant. I use Too Chic to set my foundation like I said before. Sometimes I use it over my blush. I see a nice glow in my pictures. Play It Proper seemed a little ashy when I swatched it. I think Mac should just do a collection of BP's in a range of shades from the fairest to the darkest. That would be awesome. About 6 or 7 shades of BP's.
