i used to buy that lush sea salt scrub but haven't in a while! i love that stuff and not just because it had vodka in it! lol! :) it has very chunky bits of salt in it though and if you scrub too hard it can hurt. i like to mix it with a spoon before i use it because otherwise the top seems to be filled with the big bits! really great scrub! :)

Than it seems it is not for me, even though there is vodka in it  So MAC better rerelease the VAE ;)

Strada is one of my staples too.. when I heard it was being dcd, I bought 4 bus.. lol.

but wait wait.. it's coming back, along with bone beige, taupe, and possibly a revised version of Emote.. not absolutely sure, but so far that was the last info I got. It's a whole sculpting line!!

^^^That's true on a lot of body scrubs. The grains are so large they hurt. I don't want to scrape all my skin off just the dead flakies. It makes you wonder what the hell are these companies thinking when they make them that way.

eyeshadowaddicted one.. I totally agree. The Volcanic ash is very harsh on skin.. the particles are microscopically like little knives which can actually abrade the epidermis in a very random and harsh way. I personally hate it and it left my skin raw and not silky at all.

Now the micro refinisher was excellent.. and that's now dcd.. grr.

Since I have my Clarisonic (like 4 months I believe), I have hardly touched any exfoliator. I would still be happy to see the return of the VAE though...

The Clarisonic the best thing you can do for your face in my opinion. I've had mine for almost a year and I don't know what I'd do without it now.

Seriously, it's worth it. It got rid off all my dry patches and I find myself using less product as I don't feel the need to pack on expensive night creams to fight dryness. Yes, the initial investment is quite big, but IMO it's totally worth it.

argh you are killing me! i am not sure if i should buy one from qvc because they have it on easy pay where i pay four months in a row interest free. that could be a way of spreading the cost i guess. but i am always uneasy about buying things on 'credit' like that.

For you MAC fiends who love the VAE, there is a version by Giovanni that is pretty good--I have used it a few times and it has volcanic ash in it. I never had the original MAC product so I cannot compare, but it is inexpensive and very good for exfoliation and I have very sensitive but flakey skin (rosacea prone). It uses sugar as the basis for the scrub. (It smells nice too) I get it at Vitamin Cottage/Natural Grocers.

Clarisonic is an easy to use and absolutely functional product.. best in show.

martiangurl...I have an extra tube of VAE which is sealed and will never be used.. I should just toss it cause I don't believe in giving things away which I am not happy with myself.
