For you MAC fiends who love the VAE, there is a version by Giovanni that is pretty good--I have used it a few times and it has volcanic ash in it. I never had the original MAC product so I cannot compare, but it is inexpensive and very good for exfoliation and I have very sensitive but flakey skin (rosacea prone). It uses sugar as the basis for the scrub. (It smells nice too) I get it at Vitamin Cottage/Natural Grocers.
I use the Giovanni volcanic face wash, and I loveeeeeee it. Its 9.99 at Target and you get a nice size bottle. I use it with the Clarisonic and my face loves it! Its a totally organic product too, and very gentle.

I take my clairsonic even on short overnight trips. My skin totally punishes me now if I don't. I use plain old baking soda as a body scrub. Cheap & effective.

If they had a really red RED like Queen's Sin red eyeshadow or lipstick or whatever I'd probably buy 6 of each. It's the only red that doesn't pull an unwanted shade something awful on me.

I would LOVE a red blush or a deep red rosey colored blush.

Revlon used to have a red blush back in the 80's that I loved. It was one of the first blushes I ever had. It gave me a porcelin doll look because back then my skin was so pale.

I want a red blush or something fire-ry :) nd maybe a golden mixed in the red/orange. Mineralized with sparkle yummy!

Me and my problems (addiction problems that is) with mineralize blushes and eyeshadows :p

How about a red e/s like the models for Thakoon are wearing in almost every magazine spread I see???
I've been wanting a bright red e/s, I've never worn one but they always look so pretty and unique, I would definitely buy at least one

A red blush would be interesting too, probably not very flattering on my skintone, but I'd have a hard time not getting it anyways.

I'm waiting on MAC to do a bright red e/s and if they do, it'll end up being a matte finish. Also, if MAC does a bright red blush like the NARS Exhibit A, I would be all over it.

i'd love one like the milady or danger zone red but NOT mineralized. I'd love to have a shimmery one.

But the matte red would have to be blendable and not chalky so the pigments can be applied (I am looking at YOU, Free to Be eyeshadow)

the danger zone red is so stunning! i want a non mineral version too. or if they did do another mineral one i want it to be entirely red and not have another colour coupled with it!

For everyone who was wishing for a red blush and a red shadow, New Fixation pigment from Stylishly Yours is your product. It's a touch on the blue side, but other than that, it's got an excellent texture, near matte when applied heavily, but with a subtle pearl that becomes more obvious when applied lightly or buffed into the skin. It's eye safe (which is what made me snap it up), but it's great as a blush for that doll-like or 18th century look. Not too bright or too deep.

I really couldn't understand why people weren't snapping it up and raving about it here on Specktra when the collection came out. If I ever actually finish a bottle of pigment, it'll be this one.

last year I had to choose between that and follow your fancy... the latter won but I have a sample of new fixation and I like it!!! Unfortunally it was LE (or at last it was LE here)

Totally agree. It's a lovely pigment- a gorgeous sort of cherry red. I thought I'd heard it wasn't eye safe, but that might be mistaken. I've certainly never had problems with it.

Well, I guess I will have to run around and try and get a sample of it...I'd love to try it on the cheeks and as e/s. And I would like to layer it over Idyllic or Artifact PP. My eyeballs are sensitive though and usually red products make them watery and, well, red. Maybe I can apply wet to minimize fall out.

I still am hoping for some warm colors with this collection--I am definitely thinking it will be a contrast to the Twilight Falls which may be cooler colors

i know right? cos the mineralized shadows
1)you need to be in the mood for foiling and the damn blending (its hard on MES or is it just me? lol)
2)Id love one in a palette I could take around
3)I could do my make up and dance/workout without it dripping off of my skin cos the MES dilute in my sweat! hahahah

no kidding Lou, I worked out with mineral mode one day and i saw strikes of sparkly stuff running down my cheeks hahahha. When I went into the bathroom i had like a sparkly zebra print on my face. It was funny.... and nobody told me!!!!!!! :O ugh! hahahah
