I love Overnight too. It's not that expensive compared to other companies. I tend to get it when I place big orders or if I'm getting a coveted item. It's true that regular shipping orders go to the bottom of the pile.

i did overnight shipping early this morning, but still have not received a shipping notice. Have you?/Is this normal time frame for overnight? I normally just do ground so am unfamiliar with it.
Not yet... if you sign up for UPS MyChoice you'll get a notification even before the MAC site shows that its shipped.... then the site will update...and then eventually you get the email from them.

I'm not too worried about it though, i've ordered with overnight before around 5 or 6pm and still got my order the next day....

Hi y'all! This is my first post on the forum. I made my first MAC purchase today with Guacomole, Jete, Moth Brown, and Woodwinked. I feel an addiction coming on. I have enjoyed reading your posts. Hope to see more great things from MAC soon.

MAC is not playing when they say limited numbers, especially for Canada. Moth Brown has sold out already.
I just spoke with Canadian customer service. I was told they still had Moth Brown e/s in stock and will look into why the item is showing up as sold out. I was able to place an order by telephone. The only problem with telephone orders is that you get no tracking what-so-ever so have to wait for the item to arrive, which can be scary for those of us who like to know where our package is.

It is true though that the stock quanitity we get here in Canada is often very limited, and they don't usually restock like the US site. The stock quantity in stores is often extremely limited too.

I've only picked up 2 items from this collection, a Rocker lipstick that I have already received, and the Moth Brown e/s I ordered today.

Rocker is not nearly as glittery as it was way back when. I remember the original quite fondly and the other sparkly lippie released at the same time, Velvet, a dark goth type purple.

That is sad b/c MAC is a Canadian company. They should have the same stock ratio as the US. I understand that Canada is less densely populated but they should still have as much of a chance as we do here in the US.
I realize MAC was founded in Canada but it is now based out of NYC. Estee Lauder took it over and didn't the founder pass away 15 yrs ago or something? Which should be a mute point but basically means that it no longer has any ties to Canada. Sad to say, because I have a fondness for Canadian companies, it is now an American company :( Still wrong of them to short Canada simply on principle. Not trying to start something eek

My UPS man came at 12:30! This is a record time, since usually he'll come anywhere between 3:00-8:00 on any given day. Yeah! I swooped right in, picked up the black box from my porch and cracked that baby open!

I haven't tried them on because I don't want to get the sicky germs - I used rubbing alcohol before applying onto my arm for swatches - then I sprayed them with alcohol mist when I was done lol, I'm germaphobe for sure!

I love all three! Rocker has those gorgeous sparkles that catch in the light and man oh man is CYY BRIGHT! I can't imagine the older version that was MORE neon! Moxie seems to show up similarly in the tube as on my arm, it's definitely a reddened pink, almost what I wish Fire Sign would be!

I did sign up for My Choice but have not received any notifications yet. That is great to hear that you can order that late and still get it the next day. That makes me feel a lot better. :)

I find 99% or the time my MAC box is at my door steps before my order changes from 'pending.'

I live in the same province as the warehouse so I usually get my stuff in two days with regular shipping, which is nice.

Canada seems to get a really small stock lately. Glad to hear you got what I wanted though. The early bird catches the worm.
When I called in to MAC Canada regarding my fashion sets order, they told me that they got 30 (that's right - THIRTY for the entire country) of some of the items that weren't being carried in store. I don't know that was reflective of usual volumes, but I'd bet there's no huge stash in Markham.

Thanks for the background information! I knew that MAC is part of the EL group, but did not know about the passing of the founder. You're not starting anything, just me wishing that we would have more inventory/re-stock opportunities. But it looks like MB may not be sold out here after all!

Took me forever to catch up with this thread thanks to over 250 new posts and my internet acting up :) I'm glad nothing is sold out yet and everybody could order what they wanted. Seems like not a lot of people are getting Guacamole.

Spanky, I hope you feel better!
