I'm so confused. what's the release date for this? I'm updating the MAC collections calendar thread. I can't find a date, but it seems like some people already have the lipstick.

I don't mean to get involved with the Lime Crime conversation so late in the game. I do want you ladies & gents to know. I, too, had read the negative things about them. I did, however, go out of my way and order Chinchilla and Poisonberry lipsticks from them (ducks from the makeup being thrown at my head). I have an addiction problem & I'm sorry. I could not resist those shades. Anyway. I had an issue with delivery and when I contacted the owner Doe Deere, she was very understanding and nice to me. She said if I didn't receive my shipment she would resend my items at no extra cost. She emailed me constantly and asked if I received my package, when I did, she was very very pleased. The lipsticks are very nice. Packed with color and they are not drying on my lips at all. I'm not saying I would order again, but I'm not saying I won't.

I don't think there's any need for you to apologize or to duck for cover. It's your money and your lips! If you chose to buy, so be it. If you don't, so be it as well. I did my research based on comments posted in other threads and chose not to purchase Lime Crime products. I don't know about Lime Crime's customer service anymore. It seems like that has gotten better. But I won't buy from Doe Deere because of her egregious response to people pointing out her cultural appropriation during the Chinadoll thing. God even the name Chinadoll. I just can't. But that's just personally an issue I am big on.

The release dates that I have posted in the individual threads refer to in store releases only. Online releases are completely different as they may occur much earlier than the schedule release in store. HTHI'm a bit confused as well. I believe the original release date was scheduled for Jan. 31st, but then it got pushed to Feb. 7th to coincide with the Archie's Girls launch. Anyone care to verify? Some people already have the lipstick because it was included as part of gratis for MAC employees. Also, some people who placed online orders have already gotten notices that their lippie has been shipped, so people will likely be receiving them earlier than the release date that way.
There is definitely no need to apologize! It's your money and your face, so you buy whatever products from whatever brands you like! Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and I'm actually very glad to hear that someone had a good customer service experience with them.

I've never had an issue with them drying my lips out, and i don't use the lip primer underneath. As for their customer service-i hadn't heard all the issues before i placed my first order with them (black friday sale). I never received an order confirmation email, tho i did get a payment confirmation from paypal. I emailed LC, and continued to email them back and forth. LC was very helpful throughout the entire process of making sure all my info was correct, and continued to keep me informed the entire time until my order finally arrived (late because of the overabundance of black friday orders placed, but that happens with all companies). I didn't have a single bad experience with their customer service. :dunno:

My local MAC had Archie AND Viva Glam Nicki 2 AND the new Paint Pots in the back room to test. So yesterday i went in to try them out and shoot a few swatches - i'm new with this camera and shooting swatches. I hope i'll get better at it. As i was leaving i realized i'd forgotten to test the new PPs... well, they're perm, so i'll have time.
Nicki2 lipstick was not as lavender as i had hoped. I mean, it is lavender, but on me it has a bit of a pink cast. My pictures do not do it justice. I was shooting in my local MAC after asking if it was ok.
Nicki2 gloss, despite its appearance in the tube, is NOT milky! It is sheer, but i think it's lovely. It is not very shimmery. I think it is very wearable for everyday. Sorry I didn't photo it on my lips.
This picture was taken in bright sunlight in a window. The skin on my inner arm is neither that yellow nor that brown.
I photographed my lips in the back room in unnatural light. I confess i adjusted the color a little on this photo, because VG N2 was bluer than the picture looked and i was trying to get it closer to reality.
