Blue Notes de Chanel aka Blue Rhythm Collection

Thank you for posting, it looks gorgeous on you! This mascara is the only item I'm interested in for this collection but I've been going back and forth over whether or not to get it. Frippery is right, lovely but I probably wouldn't wear it often and mascaras definitely have a shelf life.
Thanks, I'm going to try and use it, especially during the warm months.

Picked up both polishes and Melody from local Lord & Taylor. Threw in something else I needed to get their $25 bonus card offer.

I can't find the liner on-line anywhere. Is it only in stores? I dread going to the Macy's counter that has them...
Yes. It's in stores. You can do order online and pick up in store. It seems the online pick ups are in a central location. You don't have to interact with anyone at the counter. Great if you don't like the sales people.

I put my Mac liner on my hand and then went to the Chanel counter and swatched it next to it. There was a slight difference. Enough to get both? I don't know. It seemed that the Chanel was a pinch lighter and had a different sparkle to it. But maybe I'm just trying to justify a future purchase.

I've gone through my nail polish stash and I have no dupe for Fortissimo. Shocking! I guess I'll add it to the list. I still haven't bought the fall nail polishes.

I saw a close up pic of it but pics can be deceiving in terms of coloring. Melody almost seems like a random entry for the Blue Rhythm collection don't you think?
Re-promoting Mysterio makes since because of Tissé Smoky but Melody,-------not so much.

Melody is supposed to be used as an anchoring base or as the super subtle lid for dramatic blue liner via the liquid liner. That's why I picked it up.

I got that info from a little booklet I was given on the collection showing how to do a few different looks.

That sounds nice. I think I can use a somewhat similar IDO (Envol) and/or a neutral E/S to accomplish that.
What else did you pick up from Blue Rhythm???

I only have 2 other IDOs, but this is a lovely velvet/matte.

I picked up Melody and the 2 polishes. Debating the navy liquid liner, but I suck at using liquid liners that aren't in pen form.

AHA!

5AM revelation below:

Just used IDO Melody as an eyeshadow base to brighten a neutral shadow. In terms of actual color, it's very similar to NARS Valhalla. However, Melody is a satin that leans matte cream shadow, whereas NARS Valhalla is a powder prone to glitter fallout. The combination of the two makes it closer to Valhalla in the pan minus any fallout.

Looks like 2 versions of the same color, just different finishes and properties.

Love it.

Lol! I'm so lame sometimes....I looked for each individual product instead of searching under the collection... My goodies are coming next week finally.

These swatches are breath-taking! I love that you took them in the natural light. They glow! It looks like the 'white' in the quad is actually an off-blue? (the swatch in the top right)?
Thank you!! Yes the whitish shade has a blue tinge ( becomes more obvious when used wet) & coordinates so well with the rest of the blues in the quad!!
