Love Goddess looks gorgeous on you!
Well, the anti-enabler in me will try to helpim afraid you came to the wrong place...... RUN!!!! . im scared cause once you skip something people start to talk about how they love it, and then its gone!!!
We so are (doomed).Well, the anti-enabler in me will try to help: See if you can wait and try the lipsticks on in person before you commit, because reds can be so picky! If it's a hair too blue/orange/yellow/pink/brown, it can go from looking vavavoom to really aging in the twinkling of an eye.
The wrong red on me makes my skin look sallow, dry and flat, makes my lips look thin instead of full, affects how my teeth look, and distracts from my eye color, while accentuating the bags underneath!!! You all know I have tons of lipsticks but I only own THREE actual reds (2 which look supercalifragiliciously awesome straight out of the tube - Scarlet Ibis & Runaway Red; and 1 that I bought on impulse and really only looks good if I use it underneath a gloss and otherwise honestly pretty drab - Fire Sign). Now, I know there are plenty of people who look fantastic in the reds that were particularly hideous on me, like Heartless, so it just goes to show you how important it is to find the perfect reds for you. Don't settle for a "meh" red!!
Does that help any?
Unfortunately for me, now that I hear the BP is very light and matte, now I'm suddenly interested, so yeah the anti-enabler is getting enabled as we speak.
Nars Moscow is INSANELY flattering on me, and I've very cool-toned and NW10/NW15ish. It looks great on my mother (NC30/NC35ish) and my best friend too (NC20). I think it might be one of those rare reds that flatters a lot of people. We so are (doomed).
I love red lippies. The warm ones are usually perfect on me with not a smidge of work (VG1 is my oldest friend, NARS Moscow, NARS Amsterdam, Ruffian is pretty good, Dare You is a new love), some work well when paired with the right liner (the not too blue shades like Red, Russian Red and the sheerer colours that have just a titch of pink - Fire Sign, On Hold). Really cool reds look ghastly (Red Racer, Ruby Woo). I can also wear the brown reds like Camden Chic.
I'm sure I could have them put aside a lippie or two for me; that's never a problem. I'm hoping the pro launch will allow me to see some comparison swatches that will cause me to scratch the lippies off my list because I have something similar.
My first answer is "you will know what's right when you see it", because it will brighten up your whole face, make your eyes sparkle and melt the years off. Best to try different ones without any eye makeup on, because that will be the ultimate test.liba, how does one know which is the "right" red? I have several and I don't know if the problem is they're not right for me or if I'm just not used to seeing the color on my lips. I'm MAC C7/NC45 & MUFE HD 173. I'm medium brown with yellow-olive undertones. I don't know if I should wear warm/neutral/cool reds. All I see is bright and I can't get past that to make a proper evaluation.
Wow. We have the exact same coloring. We can wear any kind of red, if I may say so myself. Never met a red I was afraid to try, but it's all about the finish for me personally. If you like, I can give you the names of my Mac and non-Mac favorites when it comes to red lipsticks.liba, how does one know which is the "right" red? We're lip twins! All the reds you mention work on me too, and you named a few faves of mine.We so are (doomed).

We own the same reds! (but I've noticed we usually look at similar products probably because we have the same yellow undertone).. I dare say I'm still a little afraid of reds.. I could rock CYY or Party parrot (which is my new love *__*) without a problem but a bright red mmmmWell, the anti-enabler in me will try to help: See if you can wait and try the lipsticks on in person before you commit, because reds can be so picky!
