Dior Cosmetics Discussion

Tyen  and before him Serge Lutens are truly genius in their creative collaborations with Dior, and the imagery  was stunning. Google  it and you will see what I mean. When I think of Dior beauty those two artists are Diors DNA. One collection from Peter Philips does not an opinion make. Sometimes a photo doesn’t do justice to the colors featured in a collection. So, I am going to wait and see what all of 2015 brings from Chanel via Peter Philips.
Yes let us wait and see.

I'll reserve any excitement until we know more........I was so eager to get my hands on the latest Dior highlighters and they were pretty dismal!
That is so true.D&G highlighter was a disappointment for me as well.*excitement contained*

I was unaware that Serge Lutens collaborated with Dior before. Which period was that? I only know Lutens for his perfumes, and I like how he describes them, like poetry or a piece of music.

I'm disappointed with the spring collection, it looks like other Dior collections. That mix palette is something different, but I don't like the idea. The summer bronzers are interesting though. And I look forward to the whitening collection, that Dior brings to Asia yearly post-spring. I feel they nail the Asian trend in that collection by being similar to Korean and Japanese trends, but having that luxurious, European feel.

Serge Lutens was commissioned by Parfums Dior to create their make-up line back in 1967.Throughout the 70’s he was responsible for the imagery and creative direction
of Christian Dior Cosmetics. As he was/is a photographer he also had creative direction in the visual aspect of the campaigns .
In 1980 he was hired by Shiseido to lead the creative direction for their cosmetics brand and as well influence the visuals for the campaigns.
He created his own brand in 1980.
If you Google Dior Serge Lutens Shiseido and Serge Lutens Dior you will see his work for both of these brands.

It was HORRIBLE. Once that overspray was gone it was a chunky mess. So dull as well. I tried every brush that my daughter owned in her MUA kit to make it work....no dice.
Such a disappointment from Dior. I knew it was bad when my Dior SA from Saks didn't even try to push the product.
