^ I read somewhere that vintage selection is similar to Benefit's creme shadow in RSVP, which has a lot better reviews that VS. I was in love with the colour of it as well, but I don't really want to be spending that sort of money on something that's poor quality (especially as someone who didn't even know how to use creme shadows until this thread! ;) )
Wow...I picked up vintage selection even though I wasn't completely in love with it because of the sparkles mostly...remembered i had a mini of RSVP I got in a kit and guess what they look identical colorwise....except RSVP is minus the sparkles! Well I know where I will be tomorrow...at my local MAC returning vs...lol

Thx

My understanding is that Rose Ole is more rosey where BC is more gold. Is that right?

Do you like BC better than Perf. Topping?

I like Perfect Topping better than almost any highlighter, so I'd have to say I don't like BC as much, but it's fairly close. And yes, Rose Ole is more rosy than BC.

Ya after a while I see the start of raccoon eyes...crap...I really love it but hate smeared liner
Don't you find it moves around? How do you make it stay? I used to have a Feline and then got rid of it... now I just bought another one. But I'll get rid of this one too if I can't figure out how to make it non-smear. lol

Thanks Meryl! Glad to be back, altho I find it ironic that tho I have more time for Specktra, I have no time for makeup! I haven't made a full face in 2 mos and I so miss it... I was so giddy to receive my MAC pkg and to try put the new stuff that I didn't care if I looked like a crazy person with LMP on one eye and DC on the other. Must've looked like a circus clown!! This definitely caught my interest more than the fall collections, altho the TT blushes and es's were calling me. I stayed strong tho! Cham Pale and the Jan 2011 collections were calling louder. Can't wait to try these out for real when I actually have a moment!

Thanks Teresita! It's good to be back amongst fellow MAC addicts obsessing over textures & hues. =D

I'm sorry to hear about your diet. I can imagine it being hard to eat chicken again, but you have to do what's best for you. I hope you feel better very soon

Katred has a good point about MUFE being a french company. To be honest i want to try the HD foundation too. It is always difficult to decide if i want to use product from a company or not.

Yes- it's very hard. Sometimes it makes me feel sick, honestly, but I do feel a lot better overall, so thank you!

I struggle with that decision a lot, too. Nine times out of ten, I'm strong enough, but there's always that tenth time....

Layla i don't want to be rude or anything, but i thought you were a vegan. Doesn't MUFE test on animals? It may be a reason for you not to try it. Sorry if i'm wrong about you being a vegan, i thought you wrote that earlier this year.

chicken makes you sick? omg.. my late hubby used to tell me I ate like a trucker.. lol. I eat anything, and everything -- I just make sure I wash it down with some vino..lol. A great steak, rib eye, cheese, chicken, pasta, risotto.. oh my.. I could never give up food, it's one of the pleasures of life. Besides --

did you know that chickens are really the old dinosaurs.. no kidding, that's the latest research

No it didn't migrate around on me at all & I even took a shower with it on. Just like the Paint Pots as well as other makeup products, it may really depend on your own skin/body chemistry. I have normal to dry skin & I never have issues with smudging or with fading. Maybe thats why the PP have not been a messy issue for me like so many others.

For the PP try the finger appl. to the lid. I was talking to a MA about the issues some were having with the fallout - she said use your finger to apply :) It seemed to me that when they are using the primers, its not sticking to the lids. I don't know the answer but they are beautiful & working for me.

FYI - Mally is Todays Special Value on QVC today! In it is this super awesome new product that I will NEVER be without - Poreless Face Defender. Its a clear setting powder, but not really a powder - great for us old ladies

It seriously makes your face look completely flawless!!! Its clear so it never ever cakes. Makes the skin look like a babys bottom. I don't think there is anything else out there on the market like it - yet.

You can check out the product video on the site.

So after staying away from MAC & Spcktra for almost a year (except for the occasional lurking), I got sucked back in after having my son early December. And of course, being unable to join in the Boxing Day madness physically, I did so virtually with Cham Pale. And MAC delivered within 48 hrs!! So happy I have toys to play with. =D
Congrats and welcome back!!! Hopefully you'll be able to find some "you" time to play with your new goodies soon.
