I am an NW45. Per the reviews of Temptalia, I am really feeling the Peacocky Kissable Lipcolor. I am debating whether I should buy it or not. It seems very costumey in nature. I just love that blue hue. As any of the darker skinned women purchased this color. If yes, what was your opinion?

Oh yay! This is what made me decide to get Dalliance after all. Cause I almost didnt since I have Maui Wowie. I'm so excited now

Dalliance: This color is amazing. It will be awesome all over the eye or as a highlight (just go easy because this thing is pigmented). You will never run out of these shadows because it takes so little to have it show up. It's so hard to describe, IMO because you can play with it in the light. It's a kind of white/gold and definitely metallic. It's more vibrant than Maui Wowie by Urban Decay and the big plus for me is that it doesn't have the glittery fallout of MW.

Centre Stage: True, deep, chocolate brown. This is the brown I've been looking for. It's not red and not dull at all and it's a color I want to wear all over my lid. I've lways wanted to do a brown smokey eye and now it's possible. I just haven't found another brown like this.

Let me tell you that you need at least one of these lip colours in your life. Pick any one of them, but get one. They are the creamiest, most weightless products that has ever crossed my lips.

Exxxhibitionist: Not as opaque as I expected. It takes maybe 2 go arounds to get the coverage I want. The color is bright without being jarring. It's a bit more orange than Viva Cyndi, but it's quite close. I do prefer Cyndi, but this is just like have a Cyndi backup which is what I was going to buy anyway.

Flaunting It: It's really a grey/mauve. It's a dark mauve that looks very natural on. I don't own a color like this. It looks less like Up the Amp in person as opposed to in swatches I have seen. Maybe that's my pigmented lips at work. Just like Exxhibitionist, I didn't find this to be totally opaque. That's fine, though.

Vanity Fair: I was torn over whether or not to buy this because of a review calling it streaky. I didn't find it streaky at all. It a lighter, brighter and obviously creamier Pink Nouveau. If you love colors like that on yourself then get VF.

Super: The nude I was hoping it would be!!! So nice and natural on my lips. First, I thought it would be to yellow/beige, but it's perfect. It doesn't make me look dead either. NC45/50 girls with pigmented lips, this is one nude for you.

and now for my absolute favorite...PEACOCKY!

I cannot tell you how much I love this damn thing! I am buying 2 more for myself and 1 for a friend who really wants it, but can't afford it right now. This thing is spectacular. I can't believe I even let it creep in my mind that maybe I can't pull it off. It's not like the swatches I've seen. Again, I think it's due to my darker lips. This is not sky blue, it is not streaky and I cannot see red pearl. What I do see is a gorgeous deep blue on my lips. It seems like blue mixed with the smallest bit of black to make it wearable. I don't know the fancy names of different kinds of blues, but it's definitely darker than sky blue but not as dark or possibly dull as navy. It's not jarring or shocking, but mildly surprising b/c, of course, you don't see people with blue lips every day. Girls, I am telling you that if you are even remotely interested, give it a try. This is the perfect blue, in my opinion. I tried it straight out of the tube and it worked. On lighter girls, it will most likely be not as dark, but I think it will still work. For me, the color is true to the tube and not what I have seen on lighter girls.

I am over the moon about what I got. My fave, of course, is Pecocky when it comes to the lippies. The shadows, I can't even choose. From my Mickey stuff, I love Saffron the most. So happy that nothing has to go back. Still, this isn't my personal favorite Mac collection. For my own reasons I love Make Up Arts, To The Beach and Venomous Villains. Still, this is an A+ collection for quality. Even though I have tons of shadows, I think I will buy one or two more from this one because of the quality. It'll be hard for Mac to top this one this year. And yeah, I will be rocking Peacocky on my birthday in a couple of weeks!

Thanks for calming me down, hee hee :) Luckily I just saw they shipped it today...phew! UPS...but it won't arrive til Tuesday (eek, I am so impatient)...But that's Noir Plum, Unflappable and a couple of items from the Mickey Contractor collection....Most of the stuff I ordered I can pick up in store tomorrow :) (Dalliance, Prance, Spectacle of Yourself, Love Peck and Scandelicious...yay!)

Mine say Pending as well, so I don't think that in and of itself is a cause for concern, but give them a call to be sure. They'll check for you and put your mind at ease.

I got Top of the posh!!! I never wear pinks as I always feel they make me look sickly but not this one at all! It's not like any pink I have seen before. Very cool toned, yet gold. I even put some on my lips which I loved.

I totally agree with Shontay about Dalliance. It is such a beautiful complex color! It almost reminds me of the champale paint pots, in that it reflects so many colors like green, pink, and gold. This will be AMAZING on the lid.!! This color really surprised me.

So undecided about Scandelicious. Gorgeous colour which I love, poor packaging (just a personal hate for those stupid stick gloss applicators). Just can't decide whether to get it or not.

You`re killing me with second thoughts orders , now I want one too and it`s not possible 1 week or two and I`m sure they will be sold by then. Though I`m a little surprised nothing is sold out so far, maybe they made mote than typical or people bought less because of prices

Well you guys, I have to be honest- I thought I had made a mistake when I ordered some Peacocky e/s sight unseen. When I got them and swatched them, I was still not overly thrilled- I mean they were beautiful, but seemed pretty plain and I have such a large collection of eyeshadow and pigments that I knew I had colors as exciting or similar.

When I began to test them on my eyes for allergic reactions and such, OMG that is when the magic began.

The texture of these shadows is similar to that of the Duwop Peacock palette. It is a cross between metallic and velvet but what is magical is the way it adheres to the skin. When I put a dark color on eyes with any texture on them at all (like crepe or creases, etc) the dark color covers completely. Then if I gently draw the light color over the top of the lid, what happens is so much fun- the bright or light color adheres to the skin that is raised and it misses the recessed area.

What you get is a fascinating blend of color- the dark recesses and the light high points of the skin.

This may sound odd to people who are not artists, but having texture is part of the fascination of media to work with in art. When there is something that brings out texture like this- it is a step beyond the usual powdered shadows which do not do this.

So far I only have four of these, but plan to go look at the rest of them today- if they are all like this, they will be AMAZING to play with and use.

Even though I have colors like this in other forms of e/s the texture is not.

Noir Plum is a fascinating color- violet blue, but it depends on who I put it on. On me it looks beautiful cool violet blue and intense and bright. On another person I tried it on who is around NC15 maybe, the Noir Plum turned smokey plum - not nearly as purple.

Papparazz-she is crayon orange when on my skin with a twist of gold. Gently swept over Noir Plum, it gives an amazing depth to the blended area if done very lightly. When on me, it is crayon orange with the twist of gold- bright and beautiful, when on the NC15 person I tried it on- it turned red-orange. FASCINATING. This color is VERY similar to MAC Firespot eyeshadow- but Firespot has a bit more depth to it. Again, however, it does not perform the same way. But if you rarely use Firespot, you might not use this either.

Sexpectations is NOT blood red like everyone seemed to say, it is more of a rose with a burgundy base, but the med/dark pink shimmer gives it more of a pink appearance- like a deep rose color. If you use this with Center Stage- it makes the most GORGEOUS smokey eye.

Center Stage is cooler than Chocolate Brown pigment- deeper and more sepia colored. The depth of texture of this one is absolutely GORGEOUS. And again when used with Sexpectations, the results for a smokey eye are outstandingly gorgeous.

I am going to see the others today and will prob try to find a way to order more if I can at all do it. These are fascinating and fun to use- not because of the color but the texture and performance. The duplicate colors I have do not perform like this stuff so dupes are not the question here.

With the texture of the e/s is there a special application technique or will using my 239,217,242 as I would for "normal" e/s application work?
Or should I use a softer fluffier sort of brush?

I'm kinda worried that I am going to have these most beautiful e/s and then not be able to apply them right!

Thanks so much for the reviews! Shontay - I wanna see that Peacocky lip! I know you will look gorgeous.
I also have really pigmented lips, so I am really glad to hear that these kissable lipsticks pull true to color.

2 of my 3 packages should be here today. I can hardly contain myself!!!!
And I am probably going to be placing a 4th order today - - all these reviews make me want it ALL!

That is a very good question- believe it or not, the only brush I could find is the LAST brush I would have picked with these, but I think it was the best one. 242- the one I use for FL and other cream eyeshadows.

I have not used the regular brushes with them yet- they worked so beautifully with the 242 I never gave a thought to trying the other ones in my testing.

I will say this- you HAVE to use a base with these. They are powdery and there is fallout from them too- so I would probably use the 242 mostly with them to control fallout more. Blendability is amazing.

I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance because it has some of the best tooth of any of the primers (tooth meaning surface texture that attracts the most texture and pigment of the shadow). Without base, it was nearly useless.

Forgot to mention that.

LOL I was so convinced I had made a mistake when I first started playing with these. OMG I was like- BORING.

Then after using them, I was like WHY didn't I order more of these?????

They swatched so meh, but then using them on the eyes- OMG.

I can not wait to play with the rest of them today. :)

I have reviewed three of them with photos on viewpoints.com (if this is not okay to say, then I will edit- just let me know, OK?- it is not a blog or my site, and I don't get $ for people reading it and anyone can write reviews about anything there and post photos)

For the other two just look up Peacocky in the search area and they will come up.

^ Oh no, now I want more, you would be a great seller

You have completely sold me b/c I was like the same way, bored because I have the colors. But now you tell me about texture and I am drooling.
I read your review and your swatches are lovely.

If you have Royal Flush p/g, how does that compare to Sexpectations?

Tell me about it! I've been dreaming about Firespot for so long and I loved the way Paparazz-she looks on Colorqueen's review pics.

Russianbabe had added a text to her vid saying So Vain is very similar to Strange Potion. I guess I'm skipping SV then.

I wonder how close Vanity Fair is to Tickle Me Pink CCB and Exxxhibitionist to Virgin Isle CCB. Based on swatches both kissables look deeper and brighter than the CCBs but on the other hand I would be getting a (cheaper) multi-purpose product with CCBs and some shades look so similar on lips it's hard to tell the difference.

Which formula do you prefer on your lips: kissables or CCBs?
