Well I got my lip colors yesterday in the mail.

Whoever created this collection I want to meet and give a big hug. If I don't buy anything from MAC again they will always be my tops on my list with this one. Review time:

Love Peck: On my hand I was slightly disappointed. It just seemed like a dark red. Nice enough but $18? So then I tried it on my lips.

The HOTNESS for sure. Feels like silk, opague, and smooth application. I'm wearing it today to see how long it lasts. My 4 year old told me he liked my lips and my husband said it should be deemed my grown and sexy "lipstuff". He tries.

Flaunting It: Sweet mercy I've been looking for this color my whole life. Really. DILLIGAF - you were the reason I even looked at this color so bless you! On me it looks a tad more pink than mauve, but the pink I've been wanting. Someone asked a few pages back if it was close to NARS Downtown gloss. I compared the two and while I believe they are cousins, they are different. Downtown is more shimmery and clearly a nice mix of violet and pink. Flaunting It is more in the mauve/pink family and (on me at least) didn't really pull purple or lilac. I can't remember who asked, but I hope that helped! I can post a swatch tomorrow if that description made no sense.

I will be getting more of these lip colors. I can't get past how much I love the formula. I'm thinking about Strut Your Stuff but Shontay has me wanting Super. I've only backed up one eyeliner in my life, but I'm thinking about backing up these bad boys. MAC needs to make them permanent now.

Thank you so much for the recs Nyla and Colorqueen. I just ordered Centre Stage from my favorite MAC counter. I'll definitely check out Unflappable as I was really interested in that as well. My MA said it was a sparkly, beautiful brown (Centre Stage). I'm so excited now :)

I would recommend Center Stage & Unflappable. I also am into either neutral or smokey eyes & those are the only 2 shadows I bought from the collection. But I adore them both! Last night I did a smokey eye with my black greasepaint stick on the lid, Center Stage packed on top, Saddle in the Crease & then Center Stage blended up into it. I highlighted with Blanc Type & ran some Center Stage & black liner along my lower lashes & OMG! It was so quick & simple, yet I looked like I had smoldering Kim K. type eyes & I loved it! I can't wait to do a smokey eye with Unflappable! I am thinking maybe I will use it with Copperplate e/s ;) But, definitely check those two out.

I am in love with these as well..I got Love Peck and Scandalicious, and expected that Scandalicious would be my fave...the color is just more my "usual", but omg I am in LOVE with Love Peck! Wore it yesterday, wearing it today. Feels like I have nothing on my lips, yet its so pigmented and the perfect wine color...I am considering a backup and I don't usually "do" backups (I only have 2 backups of items)

Leelee, I, too, have dry lids. Be sure to check out Lorac's new Behind the Scene eye primer. Not drying at all & a terrific price for such a large amount. Ton of reviews on sephora.com.

Ugh, I caved - I put a couple more items on hold from the Eaton Centre today! I'm getting Enchantee, Dandizette, Ego and Mating Call. I'm deciding to skip Unflappable, even though it's gorgeous, because I have lots of similar colours. I can honestly say I have nothing close to the colours I'm picking up in my collection!

Here's my final haul:

Woo Me
Enchantee

Dalliance
Top of the Posh
Mating Call
Noir Plum
Odalisque
Dandizette
Spectacle of Yourself

That brings my total to 3 orders I've placed! *sighs* I've joined the club. lol

OK, just to let everyone know who was interested in the metal magneted MUFE empty palettes. You can order through the NY MUFE studio @

8 E 12th St
(between 5th Ave & University Pl)
New York, NY 10003
Neighborhoods: Union Square, Greenwich Village
(212) 941-9337

They are still $10 each + $8.50 ship for any quantity. Only caveat is that if you don't order today, you won't be able to order until a week from Monday as the store is closing for renovation. These things fly out like crazy so currently they have 127 in stock until their next delivery. Remember these don't have dividers. Just go back to my previous posts last night wherein I provided 2 links to gossmakeupartist's utube videos wherein you can see the size of the palette. HTH!

Thanks! I have always wanted a few of those. They are huge too! I just need them for my regular MAC shadows. I could fit all of them in there!

What I really would have liked is a real deep plum colour, since Noir Plum is purple.

Did you try Unflappable on your eyes by any chance? It really has plummy tones to it on me.

I stopped by my counter this morning and picked up Scandelicious (which I really need to blot down to feel comfortable wearing) and Flaunting It. Still undecided on Woo Me.

What was shocking to me is that on three people that tried it on at the same time, it looked totally different.

Noir Plum on me is bright violet purple NW25
on my daughter who is NC15 it was smokey burgundy plum- almost no purple
on another lady- no idea of her color in MAC foundations- it was more blue

So trying it on the eyes makes a huge difference because it did not look like that in swatches until we tried it on the eyes.

Papparazz-she on me was crayon orange
on my daughter it was red-orange very red orange

This stuff is so interesting

I like to keep all of the same colors together, &, unlike, a lot of you mu pros, I don't have the colors memorized nor do I know exactly what I own (lol!). So, if they are altogether, I can see what I have in that color all at one time and just make the appropriate selection. Problem was that I had so many browns that they filled 2 MAC palettes so I would have to open up 2 to see just my brown choices. I bought 6 so I use one for my browns, gold & yellows, & blues & teals, & blushes: 1 for pinks & plums/berries; 1 for oranges; 1 for bronzers. For now, I use the MAC palettes for my smaller quantity colors like purples, bronzes, pinks & whites, & greens. Maybe I'll pick up a few more if offered at NY IMATS 2011 if they're selling them there & save the shipping.
