MAC - Peacocky discussion

I was like checking out the Product swatches thread here, and then i wrote down the whole list of eyeshadows which i wanted to get and the lipcolors. And i went down to the counter and bought all the colors i wanted (I didn't buy the brown e/s though as i'm not a big fan of brown shadows...:X I love greens, turqoises, blues and purples better). This collection has burnt a big hole in my pocket and i think for the wonder woman collection i'm only gettin the 2 blushers, msfs and the colored mascaras and that's about it. I'm not WOW-ed by the Wonderwoman collection. I'm leaning towards Peacocky collection (Have been waiting for this collection to launch for ages) as i love the colors and textures of these eyeshadows

and the lip colors are awesome! they are like lipsticks, but in liquid form. No nonsence nice matte and creamy finish and moisturising for the lips as well. This will be the IT collection for me for this year. I love all the items that i bought.

I am loving the quality of these products. I got So Vain and it lasts very well. My lips are quite pigmented so it does look less neon on me than swatched and its a good everyday color for me. I drank and ate and this would be on for hours until I wanted to wipe it off and reapply. Ive been in love with Daliance and have been using it as a color wash all over the lid and it blends sooo beautifully. there is no fuss and I can just draw a strong winged liner on and glue some lashes on and its great!

I placed an order in for plum noir, exibitionist, scandelous and enchantee. i wanted woo me but i feared it would pull concealer lips on me.

I am sooo excited ;D

It has been metioned that when depotted the shadows can be homed in Ben Nye empty palettes. I looked into this & cant buy them over here, Would MUFE empty palettes fit them?

You could always buy the MUFE Magnetic Palette which has no dividers. Guru Makeup Emporium sells it in the UK though it is out of stock at the moment. Probably not very helpful!

Decided I'm returning So Vain and Centre Stage. Both colors just look so 'blah' on me. They don't pop out against my skin like Vanity Fair or Odalisque.

I got Daliance and Ego today and I am so in love with these. I had to hold tightly to my handbag straps or I think I would have bought them all. I still may get a couple more.

I had to play with them as soon as I got home. I love both of them, so smooth and buttery. I absolutely adore Daliance. It is so perfect as someone else said as a great colorwash over entire lid.

Shontay I can definitely see how you're thinking of getting a back up. This will be my go to for so many combinations. I may just have to back it also.

Was at Sephora before I picked up Dalliance & checked out Illamasqua's Liquid Metal Eye Creme in Solstice ($26/.05oz). It appears to be an exact dupe of Dallinace so I'm probably going to pick it up to use as a base for Dalliance.

[/quote] I'm hoping to get my backup either next week or when WW drops. Hopefully, people haven't caught on to how awesome it is and it'll still be around.

Actually Dalliance looks awesome with Ego! I actually wore the combo today, love it! Dalliance on the entire lid, Ego in outer corner, and wet Ego and used it as a liner. Threw on some mascara and I was done! :)
I've thought about backing it up too, if its still around

Yes Daliance does look awesome with Ego. The Macy's I got mine at were sold out of three of these shadows. But oddly enough the fs MAC store had all of them still.

I must go back and get a few more, they feel so good on and really last.

These are killing my makeup budget, well if there was such a thing for me. I just have to get things anyway. My hubby thinks I have enough, silly man. As my daughter used to say with rolled eyes when she was 3 "some daddys know know but not this one" when he would say something that she thought was just absurd. She did that for many years and I'm pretty sure she still thinks that many times still at 22 she just doesn't say it.

This is kinda like explaining to my logical thinking engineer husband why I need a gazillion pairs of say black shoes. He just doesn't grasp that you have to have different styles, several heel hights, boots, booties, slingbacks, pumps, mules, and so on in all colors and then of course dressy and casual. I guess in his defense his mother and sister are so oppisite of me, no makeup, no coloring hair, no fashion sense what so ever, well basically no style at all. But they are very sweet people.

Does anyone know how Woo me compares with Jubilee or Marquise D lipsticks?

Woo Me is more of a beige nude while Marquise D' is a light peachy nude. They look completely different on my red pigmented lips. I prefer Woo Me as it's more opaque. I'm going to do swatches for you when I get home
