i shall keep my fingers crossed that you guys get the collection at the same time! :) and i know what you mean about wanting to buy more as time goes on! it's reading all the good reviews that do it! lol!

In the beginning I wanted two shadows and a kissable lipcolour... now I want 6 (!!!) eyeshadows and 2 lipcolour ... 170 Euro of make up products is really too much

Went out to lunch today and somehow found myself at the MAC counter in Bloomingdales. Came away with the following:

[Mating Call] - Looks a lovely shade of lavender on my lids! Thought it would look pink for some reason.
[PaparazzShe] - Bummed it was sold out on the website.
[Odalisque] - I got the last one!
[Centre Stage] - Such a wonderful rich brown.
[So Vain] - Didn't think this would look good on me at first. Glad I sampled it.

I've reached my spending limit for makeup this month. Next month is another story.

I've been using my shadows every day as well! I got 7 of them and still want more! lol I mix them with other shades as well. I even got the UD Naked palette, and still use these more.
I say we make a team peacocky

Yay? Nay?
Lady Justice is a letdown so I'm going to get Dandizette, I think this might be my last one...but I've said that before lol

I really like these shadows - so soft and creamy.

Now you see why I dislike the LE concept!

It would be nice if MAC made these permanent!

OK guys, you are killing me here. Now I can't wait to go play with these tomorrow. I've got to go exchange the wrong ones Macys sent to me. I thought if I just ordered the two then I wouldn't be as tempted by the others.

I'm banging my head against the wall over here!

I've been browsing through this thread trying to get somewhat caught up and came across the photographs of the Ben Nye pallets on page 77 or so and realized I own two of them!

How kooky is that!

And 1 of them has lots of empty slots!

Now the question is do I want to depot these shadows or not - I'm a little freaked out about the prospect of de-potting them. They are so huge!

I have de-potted MAC blushes with varied success.

Hmm - will these fit in the MAC blush palette?

I'm waiting for my palette in the mail - I haven't tried depotting mine yet, but I'm slightly nervous too :S I'm just planning on doing it very slowly and carefully! And I think the MAC Blush palettes are just a little bit too big.

I've only depotted regular e/s, plenty of those. But I'm afraid to try it on blushes and these. You guys are far braver than me.

I have depotted my 6 eyeshadows from this collections but I will warn you that they are the most fragile eyeshadows I have ever seen from MAC. I used my flat iron to depot and I guess they cant take a lot of heat.... they are REALLY soft. 2 of them chipped on the side when I was putting the magnetic strip on it and the other one I dropped once it was already depotted on my CARPET and it completely broke into pieces. SO BEWARE..... I put them on a regular mac 15 pro palette without that divisor thing... so It fits with plenty of space for more!

Thanks for the warning - I don't use heat, I use EnKore's pliers, knife and alcohol method :) I'm hoping it won't make the shadows so soft, but I will definitely have to take it slowly!

I had been considering depotting mine when I get them, but after reading that I think I'll play it safe. Thank you for the warning!

I depotted all of mine, and I also use the no heat, pliers, alcohol method.
The trickiest part was simply popping out the shadow from the main, outer compartment. I tried to pop the shadow out like a regular shadow. But other than that, I had no problem. Just be more delicate and slow when prying them. They don't like to have their shape bent. :)
I broke the very first one, when I pried it out too quickly. The one I did break, though, repaired very well with 96 alcohol.
Other than that, when I was careful, I had no problems at all. I'm so glad I did depot them.

I also have mine currently in a palette with the divider removed. I have 13 of them, which makes putting them in a 12 palette not possible (you have no idea how much that ticks me off :0 )

Can I just tell you how much I adore having them in one palette. I've found that they blend well together on the brush to make additional hues. (such as papparaz she and tweet me together, etc). I use more colors and come up with more and more fun combos.

I also have been using my Peacocky shadows almost exclusively since I got these. My favorite shadows, ever. really. It's been really hectic around here, and I haven't had much time to spend on my makeup, but these shadows are easy to put together quick looks, and go on quickly (it doesn't take a long time to blend them, they all look good together, several of the shadows can be used by themselves, etc)
I have been thinking of getting Mating Call off and on for days now. It's not typically a color that I'm drawn to in a shadow, but I feel I will regret if I don't. If they have it next week when I'm in the area of Nordies, I am just going to break down and get it. Yep. And the other one I didn't get is Peek at You, but I haven't been thinking about that one. It didn't show up on me when I swatched it.

Team Peacocky sounds about right to me!!!

Thanks for the depotting tips!

Today I'm wearing Paparazz-She without a primer just out of curiosity. No creasing or fading after 4 hours
thmbup.gif
I didn't even put foundation or powder on my lids and it applied well but I find it's more coppery and a little less vibrant without a primer, quite nice for more subtle look. With a sticky primer it's more orangey and metallic.

All,

Thanks for the de-potting info.

I'm not going to depot.

I conducted an experiment this morning and here are the results:

On 1 eye I used Fawntastic Cream Color Base as the base for Ego e/s with Nylon in the inner corner.

On the other eye I used Delft Paint Pot as the base for Ego w/Nylon.

Guess which one won hands down?

Delt Paint Pot!

I swear Ego clung to the p/p and boy did the color pop!!!

Fawntastic left a lot to be desired - the color is weak I had to really pack on the shadow using Trish McEvoy's Medium Laydown Brush - and I am happy I didn't purchase it for these shadows.

I think the paint pots with color to them will be the best choice since they boost the color of these shadows.

Dangerous Cuvee with Unflappable watch out!

I can't believe I got my hands on DC either.

I picked it up yesterday at my local MAC store. They received a new shipment and had 2 left.

IHTH!

N

Edited: The fawntastic eye creased and had pooped out by the end of the day. That eye was a mess!

The Delft eye, however, was still gorgeous! The winner!

I think this is the IT haul for me for this year, I bought 12 of the mega metal eyeshadows (am loving the texture and colors of these eye shadow colors) and 6 of the kissable colors (Their texture and finish sorta remind me of MAC's slimshine lipsticks which i liked). Officially broke for now! Damn u MAC LOL
