MAC - Peacocky discussion

Am loving the wonderful colors in this collection,

I used 7 of the colors from this collection today:

1. Dalliance all over eylid till brow bone as a wash of color
2. Tweet me on entire eyelid as base color
3. Paparazz-she onter 2/3 area of eye
4. Sexpectaion on outer 1/3 are of eye
5. Noir plum as socket color
6. Peek @ you as brow bone highlighter
7. Float on by eye kohl and Odalisque as liner for lower lash line
8. Ivy fluidline on upper lash line.

Oh and I used So vain on my lips today. I love love love this coralish pink shade of lip color. It lasts a long time on my lips... NC20 for reference

Am loving the combination of orangey, purple, green and blue colorful eye shadow combo. Haven been doing colors for a long time already. I think Peacocky is inspiring me to do more colorful eye make up.

Although broke now, but i'm really happy with my haul. It's been a long time since MAC ever came out with such pigmented and blendable smooth colorful eyeshadows like this.

I didn't hear much about Sexpectations. Anyone have that one and loving it? I have been thinking about getting it. I have also been thinking of Tweet me, but I have melon pigment. What is your thoughts on Tweet me and Sexpectations?

These 2 have quickly become my favorite shadows. They look great alone or combined with other colors. I've worn them now and expect I will wear them even more in the spring/summer - especially Tweet Me. I have recommended these colors everytime I talk about Peacocky so if I were you I would certainly swatch them as they are beautiful.

Tweet me kinda reminds me of Expensive pink, but as I don't own expensive pink, so I bought it. If u have expensive pink, i would say u can safely skip it.

Sexpectations reminds me of a little of Cranberry e/s though

I'm in the middle of de-potting my shadows, and I broke off a part of Odalisque!!! *crriiiiies* It is doable, though - it is much easier if you cut off a larger portion of the plastic than usual. We'll see how my other ones go!!!

I depotted 8 others without incident, only 4 more to go... hopefully my luck continues and I can get the rest of the shadows out without any breakage!!

woo me or enchantee? i want a nude, but a nudey pink, is enchantee slightly gaga esque in colour? i already have saint germain, would enchantee be a waste of time? i want to cut my list down to one lip colour

If u have either Gaga, St Germain or Snob go for Woo Me. That's why I skipped Enchanted in favour of Woo Me.

i figured as much, im trying to cut back on mac, i bought a new purse and handbag this week, and peacocky comes out tomorrow, i'm suffering from over spending guilt!

Jenn, Ack on odalisque! I repaired the part that broke on my Center Stage with 96percent alcohol. You really can't even tell now.

banana, as far as Woo Me vs Enchantee, I don't know why, but on me, Enchantee is more of a nudey pink, instead of in your face pink like gaga or st germain. Woo Me pulls too brown on me. Idk, Woo Me hasn't wooed me as much as Enchantee has enchanted me.

OH, and Tweet Me is one of my faves, by far, surprisingly.
I love it much more than Expensive Pink. But everything depends on your coloring.


I'm still using these everyday. As a matter of fact I tried to use my Naked Palette the other day, and ended up pulling out one of the shadows to use with it.
I keep finding that I want one or the other colors from this collection no matter what other shadows I use.
Most of the time, I'm just using these shadows and something to blend with, like brule, or modelette, etc. So I just added a couple of those kind of colors to my palette that I put my depotted Peacocky shades in. Love.

If you don't mind me asking, what coloring are you? I've been pondering Tweet me. I'm a pale NC15.

As you can see on Temptalia, Tweet me is dupable with Melon.. although it's a beautiful color if I were you I'd skip it ^^

I am about NC25.
I don't know. Maybe it seems closer to Melon to some than others. I have Melon, but swatched next to each other, while they are definitely close in color, the finish and texture is different enough to warrant my getting both. There is a much more frosty, shimmery finish, with Melon.
