MAC Quite Cute Discussion

i'm cheap when it comes to nail polishes lol. i'm a sally hanson fanatic. great colors at around $2-$3. however, i received a NARS nail polish for free once from beauty.com, and i really liked it. i've never tried a nail polish from MAC before. if the formula is said to be really good...i may have to just break down and get it.

(or wait for a dupe!). i know i want the pink blush for sure & maybe the lavendar one. i'm patiently waiting for swatches on temptalia's blog to see how they look on her! as much as i love green and as cute as the beige blush with the green heart looks, i know for a fact that it won't show up on me as anything more than a highlight. (i have too many highlighters) i'm going to skip that one. i can't wait to see the swatches of the collection actually on the lips and cheeks. i'm counting down lol

Thank you, HerGreyness :)

That's confirmed to me that I will still be skipping these blushes completely, even though I am very pale skinned.

they are lovely blushes .. but like I tried to stress with Champale being glittery.. these blushes are pale, unless applied wet and I think work best on lighter skins.

I'm a NC15 so i think i can use them as a blush, except for maybe Miss Behave. Or maybe i can use them on top of another blush. Anyways i will try to find a way to make them work

Thank you so much for the swatches HerGreyness!!! I think I still need the pink blush...it's just so darn cute! I hope it works for my skintone!

So my list now consists of:
- Giggly blush (I originally wanted the lavendar one, but that one is probably gonna be too light for me)
ssad.gif

- the quad FOR SURE. I've been drooling over it since I first saw pictures of it!
- Candy Yum Yum l/s. Also a MUST
- Play Time l/s (maybe...)
- St. Germain (another maybe)

I'm not sure about the plushglasses yet....still debating those, as well as the nail polishes

Thanks for the images/ swatches HG!!!! I think I'm definitely pale enough to justify getting that lavender blush and I know I'll get the beige with green sheen just because I love the idea of having that tone as a highlighter...

Right now, my "I'll be good" list is"

Quad
Playing Koi
Quite Cute
Sakura
Miss Behave

If money is tight, I'll skip the glosses and Play Time, since it looks much pinker than I was hoping. I'll likewise pass on QC if it's too close to either Lavender Whip or Blooming Lovely. I'm teaching myself to behave... (and there's a bunch of things that I want to grab from other companies upcoming collections)

katred, you are the perfect candidate for the lavender blush.. it is the most unique of the bunch.. the peachy one works best as a highliter.

HerGreyness, thank you for the swatches and review

.

I think I'd better stay strong and pass on the blushes... I really didn't like to buy something I didn't truly love from the beginning. I've had enough stuff that I initially love but end up not using them that often... This means I'm going to skip this collection completely!
Now I'm glad I splurged on Peacocky because it seemed that nothing of the next collections interest me at all

Thank you HerGreyness for the pics! I was traumatized enough with Pink Cult and my rosacea-licious results, so I can skip these(even if i did get PC to get with the program, no more pinks for me!).
So far I just want the one plush glass I didn't get(I U) and two polishes. Skipping the naked liner now.

wooteth et huzzah for a tiny list!

Beauty -- I think the blushes would not work on WOC.. jmho.

Cutie.. I so agree with you... buying cosmetics should come first from the heart, and then from the wallet... if the two don't converge, then you have a problem. Buy what you love and wear it to the pan... buy what you are iffy about, or into hype, and you will waste money for sure..and, btw, you can use some of the Peacocky colours on your face (the lighter ones) to highlite also.

I love how the lavander blush looks wet on your finger. It looks like a true lavender. I am thinking it will look very pretty in conjunction with Fix+. Would you say it's more lavender than Two Virtues?

I will swatch both Kiss.. they look alike, but are not. Lavender is a lighter shade and Two Virtues delivers more colour.
