That's definitely a good idea. You can substitute My Paradise for Torrid. Just my opinion. Nars blushes are top notch.

I agree NARS Blushers are top notch, I love Torrid. It's more of a Pinky coral with gold shimmer and NARS Catus flower is the cream version to Torrid IMO both are lovely; however seeing te swatches to my paradise this looks more like a peachy Orangey coral, I have lots of Pinky corals but no peachy Orangey coral combo..

Welcome to the site Julia and thank you for the swatches! All I can say is that I'm going to have to look at My Paradise when I see it.

As far as preventing the whole "launch day psychosis", I find that the faster that things are selling out, the more I'm actually getting discouraged from even trying. It's taking something that should be fun and making it very stressful. I'd rather take my time and think about items from other collections that I know will be in stores for a few months- even something like the Guerlain Blush G, which sold out many places, was still available fairly recently. I don't feel that same sort of pressure. I'm just trying to pay closer attention to finding dupes in my existing stash and reminding myself that my future will not be compromised if I miss a lipstick. These collections should be fun and exciting.

oh i completely agree.. i wanted to get quite a bit from quite cute.. and in the end, im ending up only with playing koi l/s. it gets too stressful to jump on every collection.. i only just started with mac and im getting very tired. im starting to like nars more as their collections are slower and i have time to absorbed everything..

hee hee! tell me about it! the tax refund was for 2009-2010 though so maybe i will get more back for 2010-2011 tax year!! i earned less this past year but still paid the same tax!

I just completely slashed my ginormous list down to three things so I'll have more money for Fashion Flower and other brands. So, I'll for sure be getting Hibiscus and the teal pigment stack and Bust Out depending on how it swatches. Under $100 is always a great haul in my book!

I, too, have cut My Paradise from my list.
I bought two ML last year and ended up selling both since it turned too orange on me for my liking and I think it will happen with MP as well...
Might as well buy a Cargo or NARS blush.

I will get my blush on saturday. And that'a all I'm planning to get from this collection. Usually the excitement for every MAC collection kicks on sooner or later, but this one is pretty boring IMO. And I really dislike the packaging. I loved To The Beach, I thought this summer collection would have me just as excited, but money saved.

So far all I'm looking to get is Hibiscus l/s. Bust Out looks kinda interesting, but if I'm after a muted purple I think I'll take my 6 empties and b2m for Up the Amp. I've been eyeing it off for months and I prefer an amplified finish to a lustre

I need swatches before I can commit lol! I'm buying most of Illamasqua collection this week, I still want all 3 polishes from Quite Cute but I don't think that's happening, I bought fuchsia violet, orange & yellow polish from L'Oreal yesterday (my 1st time ever buying nail polish from them, works really well even if I had to cut a stray hair). I need Lucky Green, Aqua & Free to Be e/s from Fashion Flower & will buy Mocha lipstick, a Refined Golden bronzing powder & Sun Rush lustre drops before Surf Baby comes out.

Then my list might be:
~ Hibiscus lipstick- love corals & cremesheens
~ Strange Potion lipglass- didn't buy it with VV b/c it wasn't very fall, but it is very summer
~ Sun Blonde e/s- I don't own a bright yellow, unless anyone has a perm suggestion?

Maybe:
~ Bust Out lipstick- but I already own Style Curve which is a cremesheen & this is a lustre, so maybe I don't need it?
~ Krazy Kahuna- love the color, might buy it if I stick to my original list
~ Surf the Ocean pigment stack- will I really use it? & at $32.50 it's kinda expensive- I could buy that Nars blue trio coming out, I already have a gold pigment, I don't the silver one, I can mimic the blue one w/ the Nars, so I just need to dupe the greenish one
~ Ocean Dip n/p- looks really pretty, but buying 3 illamasqua polishes, 3 l'oreals, prob duping the 3 quite cute ones & usually buying the opi by sephoras- do I REALLY need more nail polish? lol
~ Need reviews of the bronzer sticks, they look interesting
~ Are the pressed powders highlighters or really an all-face powder product?

I already ordered New Order, Bolero, and Wonder, but I think I might still want the Dogon duo. Maybe the trio. I'm undecided. But, that gold polish is a beauty!
