MAC - Surf Baby Discussion

Can any body help me decide if I should get Refined Golden bronzer, or Gold-Go-Lightly Studio Care Blend ? I'm really wanting a bronzer this summer, and the only one I have is the cream one from last years To The Beach collection, which I'm not a huge fan of.

Definitely Studio Care Blend. It's Awesome. The smoothest, easiest and most blendable bronzer I have ever had. Also you can just buy the Refined Golden whenever, since it's part of the permanent collection.

Gah...now I'm starting to kinda sorta want a Careblend bronzer. I'll check it out when I go to the counter next week.

if i cant get hibiscus i will. Im not 100% exited about hibiscus but I bought a new lil jacket and shoes of the same color... lol Otherwise nah.
I thought about careblend for a second but i got solar riche from style warrior. Might not need another bronzer

I just called my counter to reserve Hibiscus and they said I couldn't, which is fine but weird since they've never done tht before (even with VV). So, I'll just be going in first thing next Thursday. *shrugs*

I'm surprised that I like Hibiscus. Most bright corals aren't wearable for me with cream formulas (they need to be sheer). But this one works. Love this better than Toxic Tale. Much more wearable.

I want them to stop making that horrid lipglass formula. NOW.

^ agree with Ingenue.. this is a lovely and more wearable coral...Toxic Tale has more shock value tho but I think this one's a winner in the collex.

Thanks! I liked the overspray on Marine Life and was sad it only lasted through a few brush strokes.

it depends on if you want shimmer or a matte finish. RG has a shimmer finish to it, where the careblend powders are a medium coverage with a matte finish.

[/quote] I adore Toxic Tale, but it's a bit fussy and can turn a little crazy after wearing it a few hours. I may need to buy 2 of Hibiscus. I'm laughing at you raging over my beloved lipglass. gilded white is gorgeous.  it used to be perm back in the day, but then they went and DC'd it.
 
its beautiful as a base, an inner corner highlight, and along the waterline (its the only powpoint safe for the waterline btw).  its kind of like vanilla pigment, but without the pink.

I must've missed those, Lou. Thank goodness. I know my 3n smells like melted, rotten crayons. I still love it, though. I'm glad I'm not compelled to buy any of these glosses.

I want to go to pro. Maybe Friday or Saturday. I really hope the pigments are still there. I'm only getting hibiscus, sun blonde, gilded white and surf the ocean. Those were all the things hovering on my list before. I'm just gonna jump in and get it all unless a swatch utterly fails. Nothing else is catching my eye.

i think im gg to end up with the same 4 things i started out wanting: hibiscus, strange potion, sun blonde, saffron.. only hope that it will nt sell out on the website before i get to order it.
