MAC - Surf Baby Discussion

I've been using Saffron on lid, Coppering or Antiqued in the crease and outerV, Sun Blonde in the inner corner and Surf USA as a bottom lash line for the last couple of days. I've also tried Sun Blonde on the lid and SURF USA in the crease and outerV.
At the end I decided I should have only purchased Sun Blonde. Saffron is not that pigmented, it's very subtle and I feel sad for it next to my lovely Coppering!

It's a nice combo though... I gave Surf USA to my mum (it matches exactly her eye color! I had to have her eyes...) I loved the swatches and I only own 2-3 teals but I don't like it on me. I'll stay with my Teal pigment which is my favourite and brighter than Surf USA.

I love my Hibiscus and Krazy Kahuna, and their combo together. After all the swatches I regret for not buying Mocha. Surprisingly I didn't regret for skipping My Paradise.

Interestingly enough, I'm not having pigmentation issues with my Saffron at all. And it's the Surf Baby edition. I didn't have to dig my brush in or anything, it just kind of worked.
I'm sad to hear that everyone else is having some pigmentation issues because this shadow packs a serious punch!

Really pretty!!

Can any body help me with regards to express shipping. My Surf Baby things were sent out on the 24, and it is now the 28, and still no delivery. When I checked the tracking number, it shows that it's been at my "local FedEx facility" since 9:33 AM on the 26. How in the world can it still be there for 2 days considering Fedex is 10 minutes away from me? Is this the regular time wait for Priority Overnight? I usually use standard.

I like that look EngineerBarbie!

I got KK today. I was pleasantly surprised how nice it looked on me. It really is a nice, summery, brownish neutral. It's like a lighter version of R&R Tyrant which I adore. I was also happy that the gloss wasn't as sticky as it has been in times past. I've only backed up 2 things in my makeup career and I'm thinking about backing this one up. It really is a great neutral with a pop. Even though I have gloss coming out of my ears, I still go through it quite fast. Decisions, decisions.

What liners is everyone using with KK? I'm one of those people whose lips feel naked if I don't have liner and gloss.
Thanks! I was really nervous about this look and frankly if the MUA hadn't been wearing it and me admiring it I probably wouldn't have taken the plunge.

I'd love to see how KK looks on you! As for a liner, I'd say use either Chestnut or my new fave for a neutral lip, Boldly Bare.

Erin, Hibiscus looks so good on you!!

From that pic I think my skin, while yellower, isn't all that far off from yours. I definitely need to fool around with layering it over some different lip pencils before declaring it a lost cause.
it all depends on what tone of the lipstick you want to bring out! i wanted to bring out more of the coral/red so i used redd lip liner, hope that helps! i'm nc15 so i'm sure you can pull it off.

i can't believe how much of this collection i've purchased! probably my personal all time high for mac collections....

i've ended up getting stuff initially from the pro store, an online order, and finally a visit to a mac counter! but...i LOVE everything! (so that makes it all okay, right?)

i tried on bust out! last night, and it pulls pretty purple for me, more so than show orchid, which i'm happy about. also played with kk and mocha, and the bronzing sticks...soooo looking fwd to summer!

^YAY! Sun Blonde was haunting me so I wanted to get it. I'm going to do the Saffron/Sun Blonde/Surf USA combo that some people did on here and it's so gorgeous!!!

^^^ I also plan on doing that same combo!! When I went to pick up my goodies at my mac counter, all the MAs had that same combo plus some had swell baby on. It looked so pretty, I swore that it would be the first look I did with my Surf Baby stuff ^_^

Okay, is anyone else having MASSIVE problems with the Crush Metal pigments? I got Surf The Ocean and no matter what color I use, no matter what base I apply them with (I tried Painterly Paint Pot, Smashbox primer, and today Smashbox with Painterly over it) there is a major transfer issue and then within the hour they all fade and crease and start to completely disappear. I've tried them wet and dry... What am I doing wrong here?

Oh, and the first time I used a 232, second time a 25...7? (I think) then this last time a 217.

I got Surf the Ocean pigment stack, murflegirl's look was so pretty she sold me on this one. :) This will be my first experience with crushed metal pigments, I hope they work with me. I also B2M for Mocha and bought Naked pigment. I guess I'm done with Surf Baby now.

I tried Sun Blonde over Knight Divine, and the result was an interesting olive green, I kinda liked it.

I swing by the MAC counter in Macy's yesterday and surprisingly, they haven't sold out of anything yet! Although they did say they were running low on few things. But i was surprised, and kinda tempted to get Surf USA or the Surf The Ocean pigment stack.
Surf USA has a dreamy texture, but i know I won't use it often because I can only do neutrals on workdays :(

I got both pigment stacks and have had some minimal fall out issues. I have been using a combo of a primer (either NARS or UD) and MUFE aquacream as a base under these pigments dry, and that seems to hold them in place. They also have been lasting all day. I haven't tried them without the primer + aquacream combo. I am not a big fan of painterly as a base. Try the MUFE.
