I've tried it just once, so I'll have to experiment more, but it was very hard to get the product on my brush. So I applied it with my ring finger, that worked well smoothing out the colour to my lid. Then I blended the edges with a brush. :)
fantastic. i guess that is what i will have to do if i use it on my lid. using a finger for your crease is a bit harder though! lol!

I would be really upset if that happened to me. Even if you can still work with the pigment, they should also be pleasant to look at rather than just being functional. After all, make up is about aesthetics.

I ordered basically everything off this collection. The essectric lipstick looked better in pictures than when i received it and also the mocha. I have not used them so if anyone wants them let me know.

I found a mac close to work that still has hisbiscus in stock. I am going to pick up whatever they have left.

Finally I've figured out the only way My Paradise looks good on me.

I can only pull it off when I don't wear any lipstick and only the most subtle, minimal eye makeup. 'Looks good with colored eyeliner/matching colored mascara or with some really sheer or neutral shadow on lids only. None of my lipsticks or glosses really work with it without it instantly starting to look overdone, fake and aging on me.

Actually, Bust Out! applied then blotted looked OK, but then I had to skip the eye makeup or it again didn't look right. By itself, though, it does look really subtle and sexy, now that I've gotten a little sun.

I don't have this problem with any other blush I own - I'm kind of baffled at this point. I think I'll wind up keeping it though and maybe passing it off to a friend of mine with darker skin than mine when she comes to visit next month. 'Love the subtle sparkle, though.

[/quote] Yikes. Not cool. Well, when I put my stacks in my make up drawer, I laid them down. Surprise, surprise, the bronze/gold leaked onto some stuff. Thankfully it wasn't much because I was going through everything still and it didn't ruin any items, but this is annoying. I don't know why I thought the container was stable enough to hold in my melted pigment. So, I put it in the bottom drawer, sitting straight up. I wasn't in make up mood today with my killer headache, but I will play with the pigments tomorrow and see what happens. Hey Lou, if my bronzey shade behaves, maybe that means you have to melt yours.

how are you guys applying the bronze colour from the pigment stack? because sadly i have found that mine is so stuck together it doesn't want to get on my brush. then when it does it doesn't smoothly apply but more splatters it everywhere! i was using a 217 brush today to apply it in my crease :(
Finger + 217 to blend has been giving me the best results on all the pigments so far, although the 219 worked well for tight spots. I'm not wetting the brushes - instantly ruins the look of the pigments, imo. I AM always applying them over a big bounce shadow and I haven't had any migration. Once or twice I put them over Sun Blonde and that worked well too.

I also tried that trick of putting big bounce on top of the pigment, but I didn't care for it - made it look too heavy; 'same issue I have with applying them wet. Makes them look way too old fashioned wet. The upcoming MES, though......oh god I am going to wet them like a dying camel in the desert!

That is so funny shontay. Mine came yesterday melted ofcourse after a complaint to the ups driver. I think using the bronze pigment melted does not seem to give me fallout. I am also concerned about the leakage part. so far have used a sephora shader brush for the gold one and seemsto work but does not workon the other pigments. Man everything with mac is becoming so hard!

Anyone in the chicago area know if a hibiscus lipstick is still available in any of the counters. My sis is going this weekend and I want her to check Mac counters for me over there?

Can I scrape the base color out and send that back to you in return? My god, this is the most finicky blush I've ever allowed myself to own, but if the overspray + shimmer had been clear, white or champagne instead of gold it would have been much easier to deal with.

I called the Nordstrom beauty line and they tracked down Hibiscus for me...in Utah. I'm in California. Supposedly she had more but I didn't ask which store in Utah...

A champagne overspray would have been nice indeed.

It's either Murray or Provo because those are the only 2 Nordstrom's in the state.

I'm somewhat surprised it's still available here (I live in UT), but seeing how bright it is, I can assume it the prevalent population here would be scared off.
