Is this the brush? lol http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-MAC-Holiday-182-Buffing-Brush-Kabuki-HTF-0-Ship-/370503046064?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5643b3d3b0#ht_874wt_902
The seller's description says it's from a previous holiday line - looks like it could be the one from '06, like the photos I linked above.

thats why i laughed after saying is this cos it looks like the same packaging as the face powder that was linked recently. like they r repeating themselves in terms of packaging

That powder i linked was also from 06. My MA said that the packaging for Gareth Pugh is a return to the general look and style from the original MAC Couture collection and someone asked for an example.

Go do a search for Gareth Pugh accessories and/or bags - he's got a line of square and rectangular purses and wallets with quilted leather that might be a jump off point too.

Yes, I have this compact. It's very heavy. And sounds like the GP one will be similar to it.

My wish list only consists of the 2 piggies and maybe the brush.

I wish MAC would bring back the mystery powders. But I had a feeling several years back that they would discontinue them. So I stocked up on the "dark" color from a CCO (Bought 10 of the Stylistics"Dark" mystery powders.) Over the past 2 years "dark" wasn't even included in the couture collections. BUMMER! I love this powder!

Actually he does a lot of square and rectangular shaped evening bags and pendants already - really simple, sleek stuff, so it's not a huge stretch.

This photo's too large to post but here's a link: http://iwanttobechio.files.wordpress.com/2007/01/maccouture.jpg

Or do a search for MAC Couture Collection 2006.

We both love purple and we both love music, so awesome :)
It really is good to see you back! Missed you tons!

So...... eeeeeeee!!!! Long time no see everyone! I've missed you all SO much! I'll be back posting in moderation (I won't be back spamming and annoying you guys senseless :p) and probably won't be buying much, but the speculation is half the fun anyway, right?

This is one of the collections I'm most excited to see! And I may just be able to pick myself up a little something since it'll be out around my birthday.... I wish less of it sounded promising!

I ALWAYS listen to HG (love you!!) so if I get anything, it'll likely be Strada.... :p

But, on the one hand, I'm also drooling over the prospect of these lovelies:

Guise p/m
Elude b/p (I will be able to afford this IN MY DREAMS)
Strada p/b (as stated before :p)

.....and all of the polishes. But I won't be blowing any possible MAC money on polishes after a VERY long summer of selling off my whole collection and having no money for new stuff. XD

Everyone who has changed their avatars since I left (there are a lot of you!) look awesome, and singer82, my fellow purple fiend!, congrats on the wedding! It totally slipped my mind or I would have logged on sooner to congratulate you. <3 *kisses*

Good to be back lovelies. AND it's laylalovesmac 2.0! I now have twitter. ;) I'll put the link in my sig when I finish posting in threads of collections that look interesting... It's private, but if I know who you are (Rachel!! You better add me!!), I'll add you. <3

This is probably a stupid question, but...

I'm super pale, so Strada is tempting. However, I've never tried contouring before because I'm fat and round-faced and I always figured there was no point in contouring a fat person lol. Is that correct? I feel like it would look weird or something.

I´m fat and round-faced too and let me tell you, it makes a hell of a difference. I´m using Strada or Illamasqua Rumour for conturing, both are d/c.

I will take a closer look at the sculpting and shading powders form MAC´s pro line, when I´m running out of these.

One of the reasons I love using Strada is that my face is face oval and using this brings out my bone structure, helps give my face more definition. It's absolutely a good idea to contour a face that doesn't have defined angles naturally.

nope, it's the opposite! If you contour your face in the right way you can make it appear more slim ^^^^

nope, I highly recommend to contour! My mom has is a little chubby (but she just lost some weight, super proud and love her no mater what!) so when she had a work function I went ahead and did her makeup for her. She LOVED how her face looked contoured making her appear slimmer!

@ dorni, LMD34, laylalovesmac, katred, xasperadastra, MACcrazy

Good to know lol. Still kind of unsure/undecided though because I don't really care about looking slimmer (I'm happy with my shape, and I also think it might be kind of silly to try to look slim in the face when I'm still obviously fat lol). I'll probably get it anyway so I have it in case I ever feel the need to contour.
