MAC Glitter and Ice Discussion

Actually I love fresh ice. I used it as a cheek highlight today. And it looks lovely on your lids with black liner. I think its a beautiful and as you said buttery shadow.

Any ladies want to weigh in on Fresh Ice?
It looks like the dreamiest, most buttery sheer white sheen and I am realizing that I don't have anything like that in my stash. I love Mineral Mode from SP, but I just realized today that even the "white" areas of that shadow have a creamy pink glow, and I am thinking it might be nice to just have a beautiful white shimmery shadow.......
Would love to hear your opinions on it!

I did a really pretty soft look with winterized on the lids, outre in the crease and snow season as a highlight. I wore avenue eyeliner. I put lighscapade on my cheecks as a highlight and put Sur blush on. For my lips I wore NYX toast liner with playtime. This is one of my fave looks in a long time.

Thanks Lou! Of course it's one I've had on my wishlist for a long time, LOL—I love me some purples!

Fresh Ice is lovely because it's a crisp, snowy white but not harsh on the skin. I've used it several different ways and it's really, really beautiful in all of them. My favorite was a really simple neutral look with Fresh Ice on the inner corner that totally made my eyes pop!

Fresh Ice is gorgeous! It can be a soft pearly wash of color or built up it becomes a vibrant pearly white. The other day I patted it lightly over Emerald Dusk on my lower upper lid (not sure what thats called lol) then a liner on my lower lashine with FI patted over it as well and it looked like my eyes were almost glowing!
Now that I have a camera I can take some pics of the look, I've never done that before so it might suck lol

i have just used shimmermint for a tutorial and it's soooo awesome! i love it! the tutorial will be up tomorrow :)

I wore For Effect paint pot for my theater show last night. I wanted to do a neutral, smokey eye, and I'm so pleased with it. It's very sparkly under the light and stayed on for the whole evening. It could apply a little better. I found it to be a hair greasy, so I was concerned that it would smear or crease, but it actually held up very well.

Today I played with my goodies from this collection and used a few of the eyeshadows, 1 paint pot, snowglobe BP and Soft Sable l/s for an Winter Fairy look. The rest of the products were other things, other brands. The list is on my blog but here is the look. Muted, icy and magical! I only wish my glitter liner showed up more on the camera. I was quite glimmery!! But if I did it again, I would choose a soft pink l/s and a glittery gloss over it. I think it looked better in real person. My husband liked it so much he made me keep it on for supper before washing off!

Collection is pretty but i don't think i will buy much from it. I only have my eye on four things but still debating on the paint pots.

Lipstick - Such Flare (will purchase this as am a red lipstick fan)
Paint pots - Let's Skate, For Effect and Morning Frost.

I finally got my lipsticks this evening! - Whirls & Twirls, Soft Sable and Double Spin. I have yet to try on Double Spin, however Whirls & Twirls I am pleased because it just gives me a little shimmer on my lips, it's very close to my natural lip color, and will be very good paired with smokey eyes.
Soft Sable is also gorgeous by itself, but I've found the pairing of SS with Prince Noir is really gorgeous for a vampy fall lip with a little hint of frost - somewhat resembling a more berry version of Riveting Rose. I'm not sure where my camera has run off to otherwise I would share pictures! Maybe once I locate the darned thing! lol

I've gotten Shimmermint and Whirls and Twirls. Is there anything else from this collection I should definitely get?

(I wish there was an emoticon moonwalking, as that is really the visual that should go with that last sentence).

Now that people have had a chance to play with the mineralised brushes at home- what do you think of the new eye shadow brushes? Are they worth getting?
